Literally, no one said Caleb is playing "great"

These dudes have been wrong about "Generational Talent" Caleb from the very beginning. And the messed up part in all of this is that the Bears are "committed" to him as their franchise QB. Which means that we are in for at least another 2 years of this before they finally pull the plug.

Quite possibly true. But what I won't be able to take is two more years of you arguing for Justin Fields, even as he stands on the sideline holding a clipboard for another team TBD.

In 3 months you'll be (and so will MANY others here) whining about him being garbage even as he signs with someone to be their starting QB. Book it!

No way will he be handed a starting job outright. Brought in either as a backup, to compete for #1 or serve as a placeholder while a team readies their own high draft pick.

We are watching the best Bears rookie QB in decades and maybe ever. It's great they get him for 3 more years. Maybe he fails but right now he's a major upgrade to anything we've seen in a very long time as a rookie.

If he is signed as a starter. That team will also draft a qb who will takeover sooner than later.

Spoken like a disgruntled Bears fan. Fields is an NFL Starter. There are about 6-7 teams easily that he would start for Right now and about 6-7 more that he should start for Right now.

9-5 over his last 14 games as a starter. What team other than someone like the Chiefs Bills Detroit Minnesota or Philly wouldn't just love that record in their starting QB?

So what type of contract does he get?

Green Bay doesn’t want him, I assure you.

Also, the Steelers don’t want him as a starter, they benched him.

For a guy who is a future HOF whom they'd promised a starting spot too. And by the way that decision to "bench him" is looking more and more disastrous by the game.

I think he will have probably have a chance to start somewhere but he will have to win the job. Nothing will be handed to him.

I got him to sign somewhere as a starter and if they proclaim it to be a "competition" for the job it will likely be a sham one. Like Pittsburgh

Where do you like his chances to sign, there won’t be many?

Tennessee
Atlanta
Raiders
Giants would be my 1,2 3, and 4

I could also see a squad like an Indianapolis taking a shot at him also

Why would Atlanta move off of Penix after a few games?

Atlanta has Penix, cross them off. The other 2 are possible I guess and Indy he wouldn’t be the starter right away as A.R. is still going to get the looks there.

Because they will be trying to win. They aren't going to hand their team over to an untested QB. "WE" know where that gets ya if you are trying to win don't "we"

You think there’s an NFL GM out there who’s going to bench a top 10 pick after 3 games in favor of Justin Fields?

I don’t think that will go over well with him at all, and I would be telling my agent to get me out.

We’re a year removed from the Bears being unable to move the guy for anything better than a day 3 draft pick.

One year later, he’s apparently going to have more value than a GM’s own top 10 pick the year before.
