Do you even pay attention to the games or just come up with random diarrhea of the mouth? Packers went 1-5 in the Division

Yes and they made the playoffs despite that. Are you disagreeing that they made the playoffs?

And beat no one. They made it to the playoffs by bumslaying bad teams. He didn't grit and grind his way through the division. Almost went 0-6

OK they still made it. The rest is just style points. It was not a strong year for them but they kept up a standard, more than I can say for the Bears who got held to three points by fucking New England.

While they certainly did not fare well against the top 3 teams, they did beat 3 that finished 10-7. They are arguably the 4th best team in the NFC while the Bears are around 13th.

Bears will be Super Bowl contenders by this time next year. Just got to hire a new coach that everyone will be calling for to be fired by game 5 of next season. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Maybe the Packers should fire LeFleur, talk Rodgers into coming back and hire McCarthy

Ya know, get the band back together!

Lafleur's one of the best coaches in the league. Black Monday is for the loser teams like the Bears not the playoff teams.

That was a sweet timeout he took on fourth down with 58 seconds left. Maybe he was distracted by his upcoming appointment with his esthetician.

Bears should have tried beating more non playoff teams then.

Everything will be fine as soon as the Bears put a copy of Allegiant Stadium across from the courthouse in Rolling Meadows and then build 5-over-1s around it.

The Bears have requested to interview Broncos senior personnel executive David Shaw for their vacant head coaching job, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

OK they’re overrated. OK they suck ass.

Also, they still have football left to play and the last chapter of their season is unwritten. The Bears meanwhile? It was an unmitigated disaster where literally everything and everyone was significantly worse than the vast majority people expected. And nothing is going to change that, that legacy is cemented.

He was a rising star as a coach at Stanford once upon a time. I’d actually be kind of intrigued. That Denver thing is a remarkable turnaround, it’d just be interested to hear what they did right after making a colossal blunder on Russell Wilson that was basically the inverse of Da Haul.

Absolutely not. He coasted on Harbaugh’s teams like a budget Ryan Day. Then he hitched his wagon to Andrew Luck for a few years after which he was politely run out of town, as only happens at serious academic schools. He’s Stanford Ty Willingham.

I don’t care what he did in college. I’m very keen on learning how Denver went from a team with no future to a team with one of the brightest futures in the league. All with the league’s #1 apex predator in their division.

Yes I know Sean Payton, but OK what did Sean Payton actually do?

Why do people think guys are going to come in and tell them all their organizational ordnance just for the hell of it? Like snitching without compensation.

Well it’s a job interview so you would imagine you could glean something. I mean, saying this about the Bears is farcical though. They interviewed 17 candidates before landing on Marc Trestman…I guess I’m the idiot here.

How many guys have the balls to come in and tell you why you suck, particularly when the GM who created the roster has input into the hiring decision?

Is Blake Weaver or the bald midget from Arizona talking shit under those conditions?

It’s Ben Johnson. Don’t fuck it up.

Ben Johnson is going to listen to George talk about diversity, women in the front office, going to church with Virginia and not swearing for about 15 seconds before making up in mind that he’s just going to Jacksonville. There’s just no way he sees the clown show that is the Bears and wants anything to do with it.

And if he does, well then he’s an idiot and everyone is wrong about him.

The guy from Denver, who has zero shot, who absolutely knows it's a fishing expedition, is just going to spill the beans. If it was me, I'd just make shit up, starting with something believable, then work my way up slowly to aliens.

Nobody wants to work with Baalke. The Jags are giving the Bears Johnson and they just need to not fuck it up.

The Chicago Bears make an odd request of Ben Johnson
Per well-known Chicago media figure George Ofman, Chicago is requesting Johnson give the team a “leadership” plan. Other coaches have to provide a plan to work with Caleb Williams.

“Told the Bears want Ben Johnson to offer them a leadership plan while other candidates are being asked to present a QB plan,” Ofman posted on X.

There have been multiple reports by ESPN and the NFL Network that Johnson doesn’t interview well. There are also serious questions about Johnson’s ability to lead a team, and whether those questions stem from said poor interviews also remains a possibility.

Shad Khan is a goofball too. Maybe he'll just stay one more year in Detroit and try his luck with the next cycle.

If he’s as smart as everyone says he is this maybe what he’ll do. I certainly think it’s a very under appreciated possibility.

You can bitch about Caleb all you want -do it in the appropriate thread is the point. This thread is for the coaching search. You aren’t simply mentioning Caleb in passing as it pertains to the coaching search in this thread, you’re repeating the same shit you say in every thread about Caleb. Even if I or anyone else is saying ‘the same ole shit’ about ownership/front office/coaching in this thread.. it’s in the appropriate thread.

Surprised Shorty George got through that tweet without a malaprop or spoonerism. Maybe he's finally found his medium.
