Well seeing this Zoom attitude towards the Bears is so strong we should make sure they also not not do other things modern businesses do. Bears and other teams should not zoom or use any other modern convenience.

Heard that they have a large group of people sitting in during the interviews including several HR staff members.

This seems like a waste of time, wouldn't you bring the HR staff into the process after you have narrowed it down to your final two, or even after you have picked the guy you want to hire, sure you would have them vetting the candidates, but not in the interview where you would expect it to become very football intensive.

It would see it would be the GM, ownership, and team president only and that you would be locked up in a room far away from distractions in order to focus on the detailed plans the guy has for the team.

It would seem these interviews with 2-3 non-football types would quickly devolve into time wasting questions about culture and other HR type BS, but Warren seems to live in that odd and dated world so maybe he feels more secure and less afraid if he is surrounded by likeminded people.

This all points to a total lack of leadership and direction, if you had a competent GM he would know exactly what he wants already and be focusing in on specific areas with each potential hire, having extra fluff staff in the room would only waste the valuable time he has with each candidate.

I think the HR stuff clearly has something to do with whatever those assistants under Flus were doing wrong. They may have dodged a very expensive bullet. We all go through this bullshit to one degree or another at out jobs these days. I am not sure why some of you think the modern corporate NFL team is different.

And even if they did not have to, Zoom is pretty standard issue now in business to save time. With the number of people they are talking to, it would be very difficult to quickly get all the candidates in.

There is the problem, they are wasting time interviewing way too many people and are missing out on crucial initial face to face meetings with key candidates.

Raiders as likely flying guys in to meet with Tom Brady and the Bears are doing zoom calls with a dozen people in the room, which do you think will work better with the top candidates?

Shocking that Vrabel is the Patriots coach. Only if the Bears had flown him in he was ours!
