The Patriots did this with Vrablel and Mayo. There didn't seem to be any issue when they did this with Mayo.

The rule is flat out stupid and should be eliminated.

it is. It won't be. So enforce something.

You're asking for a horrible rule to be enforced? Or do you want something else enforced?

Despite every team announcing on X that they have interviewed a coach, regardless of race, Dan Bernstein (with both Leila and Harris agreeing) accused the Patriots (and others) of being racist by announcing when they have completed interviewing minority candidates. He did this 2x in the first hour of the show today.

Full agreement from his co-hosts at another ignorant, but extremely confident in his bad takes.

Very excited to hear more about the Rooney Rule discussion this week on/off.

I think you're trying to be sarcastic but nobody is buying it. You are addicted to feeling aggrieved.

It was a topic on/off on Mully/Haugh. So far, not as much, from what I've heard on Bernstein/Harris.

Feeling aggrieved? No. I do like calling out their very bad takes.

See it more as lazy production than a bad take, at this point Dan likes to play the hits, tries to fill airtime with the same tired ass SJW takes he has done for the past several years, think it is because he is either too lazy, or does not really care to talk about the actual qualifications of the potential coaching candidates.

I would be very careful if I was the new dude because it did not work out too well for a few of the previous Bernstein co-hosts who agreed with him and would double down on the SJW BS.

DB is a special kind of SJW. Mike McCarthy and Mike Tomlin have nearly identical coaching records. Yet to DB, McCarthy is an idiot and Tomlin is not.

I was more perplexed today by spending a show bemoaning a coach (McCarthy) not even hired yet.

You can be a Dan hater all you want but it’s undeniable that he’s the only one at the station who really gets it. Especially compared to cognitively impaired Rahimi and terminally out-of-town stupid Harris (not to mention the two nerd fagg0ts on the afternoon show).

Yeah, you really hear it today. Dan's seemingly the only one who can bring the heat on Kevin Warren and the McCaskeys. The other two, this whole farce doesn't seem to mean anything to them (and the McCarthy talk has emboldened Leila to come out as a Dallas Cowboys fan, which the Score needs like a hole in the head).

It is just brutal that they can have Ben Johnson but they won’t do the very obvious thing (which let’s be real they should have fired Poles for his performance so far) to get him. So now they settle for Mike McCarthy. Except their inaction leads McCarthy to just taking the low-pressure New Orleans job, so now its Anthony Weaver or Matt Campbell and you’re in the nightmare scenario.

Leila says gay marriage in Texas will probably be banned in the next 30 days. Is this true?

This Leila hates McCarthy topic that now comes up on every other segment sounds like a bit, but it's probably true, although very strange. She has taken such an extreme position that McCarthy is so bad that you can't have any counter-points, like he's not bad as you're saying (as Harris was trying to do, just "asking questions"). It creates no room for an actual conversation if she's just going to start screaming how bad he is. It sounds like there's tension between the two when they start talking past each other, but I think it's moreso that she is just taking this McCarthy hatred so far that that she can't fathom any counter-point.

I am not a big McCarthy fan either, but her position is ridiculous.

It's interesting listening to the score with everyone with sources, or being experts on the Bears and being so critical on how they are running the coaching search without really knowing the rules/timelines or how any of these interviews are going.

It makes for endless speculation, everyone is just guessing (although this station wants you to believe they are "informed")...I don't mind the conversations, just find it comical how sure they are when if were to replay their opinions a month from now, 90% will probably factually incorrect.

As I, and others have said, they take themselves a bit too serious.

Matt Spiegel had a source tell him (and backed up by triple sourcing) that the extended timeline mandated by the NFL means that the Bears are probably doing more than they should be given credit for. A source needed to tell him an opinion that he's passing off as fact.

Yeah caught that. It was just her idea of being clever to take a shot at Trump.

I was surprised that Dan didn't respond to it at all. That's the first time I've really her someone on that show come right out with a lunatic political thought - they tend to just nod their head at everything Dan says but don't usually introduce their asinine thoughts freely.

I'm not aware of any new laws that will be passed in the next 30 days that will do what she said. Makes me wonder what "news" sources she is consuming that she thinks is fact, but she's probably not the only one who works in that time shift (or on the afternoon show) that would tell me that I'm a bigot or anti-woman for questioning this.

I hope they hire McCarthy now. They'll turn it into LaRussa 2.0, it'll be appointment radio.

Just in the past week....when the topic of Penn St and ND game came up, Dan can't get past the rapes that occurred and the people there who didn't care....

Blackhawks came up...Dan goes right to how the team looked past allegations that went on there

Major League movie comes up because Bob Ucher died ..Dan is offended by Chief Wahoo.

Literally the first things that come up ...

What a miserable, whiny person

He seems to have an issue with Uecker because he was in Major League and they had Chief Wahoo in the movie (as he went right to in transition). Yesterday, he sort of made fun of him dying by saying there's a job opening in Milwaukee - yes, true, but also an odd thing to toss into when everyone else thinks the guy is a legend; when the topic of him dying came up, he just changes the topic to the movie director who died as a significant loss.
