I’m going Raiders, with the Jets as a sleeper. Money seems about right.

I could definitely see the Giants ending up with him. I don't think the Titans or the Browns are trading down, and if/when they each take Ward/Sanders, I could see the Giants taking Hunter since CB is the next biggest weakness on the team outside of QB. It is hard to imagine the Giants not drafting a QB at some point so I could see them trying to trade back up to take a stab at one of the 2nd-tier QB's that could be available. All that said, if Ward or Sanders were to somehow fall to 3 they are snapping either one of them up.

He will get an Mike Glennon/Andy Dalton type contract to be a "starter" by a team who will draft a qb early that will replace Fields after a few weeks if not the preseason.

It wouldn't shock me if he ends up with a similar career to Geno Smith. I'm just glad the Bears don't have to wait 9 years to get a good 1.5 seasons.

If he's smart he should sign with KC and glue himself to Reid and Mahomes. He's still plenty young. Wentz is cooked and KC should be happy to get Fields.

Quote:
The Pittsburgh Steelers' 2024 season ended in disappointment, as the team collapsed in the second half, culminating in a four-game losing streak to close out the regular season. This skid resulted in the Steelers losing their grip on the AFC North and subsequently falling to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card round, marking their fifth consecutive playoff defeat. The issues plaguing Pittsburgh were multifaceted, but one of the primary reasons for the team’s struggles was the performance of quarterback Russell Wilson.

Wilson's struggles became more evident as the season progressed. Not only was he unable to avoid turnovers, but his ability to avoid sacks diminished significantly, especially with a shaky offensive line failing to provide adequate protection. This combination of factors led to the Steelers’ inability to sustain drives or score points consistently. The team’s coaching staff and front office took note of these shortcomings, leading to important decisions regarding Wilson's future with the organization.

Recent reports indicate that the Pittsburgh Steelers' front office has made a firm decision about the quarterback's future with the team. According to Steelers Network, there have been no discussions between the team and Russell Wilson about a potential return for the 2025 season. This news comes as a surprise to some, but it is clear that the franchise is ready to move on from Wilson, seeking a quarterback who can better lead the team forward.

But but I thought Justin was great leading PITT to 4-2 to start the season. Why.. Whyyyyyy! would they want to move on from this future superstar!

He will get a Mitch type contract to back up a superstar like L.Jackson if he is lucky. 1 yr @ whatever the going rate is for a backup.

Fields has been on the field enough to know this shit ain't working. It behooves him to take an apprenticeship under those who do know what it takes. He's not a lost cause just yet. If HE finds out he's just not starter material(most likely), there's no shame in being a solid backup, which he is already.

Mahomes could teach Fields how to throw.

I hope Fields starts for a really good team but I can't see that happening to start the season. More likely than not that next season he spends more time on the bench than playing, percentage wise. It's too bad...he has all the tools except for processor speed. But at his best he'd be Lamar Jackson. And Lamar will only win a SB when his run game is A+ and his team doesn't ever have to play from behind.

At his best he would be one of the best QBs in the league?

if he can't win a Super Bowl with Derrick Henry, I can't see him winning one period. So what good does it do to be a good to great QB if your flaws mean you can't win a SB?

He is only 28 yrs old and playing great for a very good team, so the SB remains to be seen. Regardless, you likened Fields to a 2-time MVP. Jackson was fantastic this season. There’s zero chance Fields ever has a year as good as LJ just had.

I honestly see him staying in Pittsburgh as a backup.

Justin Fields came in 10th in the 2022 MVP voting, that's almost the same as wining it twice.
