Just curious if anyone else is watching this or not. Pretty decent cast with James Marsden and Sterling K. Brown. Very far fetched story about a doomsday event happening in the US and 20,000 people being evacuated to an underground bunker. While in seclusion the president is murdered and so the story starts getting more interesting. I'm about 5 episodes in and have found it ok for the most part, certainly has kept me guessing. The people live below a mountain in a world very much like in the Truman Show.

You will know after the Pilot episode whether you want to continue. I wasn't sure that I would but after giving it another episode you start to see the twists and turns unfold. Still am not sure how this is going to wrap up.

just started it yesterday. Had no clue what it was about when I started it. Loved the twist at the end of ep 1. Definitely my type of show.

I have enjoyed it so far. Lots of unexpected twists. They are developing the characters at a good pace.

You're leading Trailer Park Tabitha down the primrose path, just like the Biden Administration with Ukraine. 8)

I can't believe this was an intended theme, but does anyone else notice that in this universe, the world goes to shit whenever you put a woman in charge?

Sinatra, the psychiatrist, the head of secret service...every single one of them is worse at their job then male underlings and are driving the place into chaos.

It was a solid ending to season 1 and opens the door for just about anything to happen in season 2.

I just got through episode 6. They made that dead wife into a villain in about 3 seconds. I don't want any more back story on her. I'm just grateful she is gone. "THAT'S DOCTOR..."

SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON

I didn't like the ending. The reveal had no foreshadowing. A random character shows up and the only connection they have from anything previously introduced is a plate of cheese fries. Takes the fun out of the mystery when after 7 hours you learn "HEY - IT'S THAT GUY EVERYBODY ASKS ONE QUESTION AND THEN RUNS PAST". He actually had a pretty interesting story. They should have developed it through the whole final part of the season.

I still liked the show. I wonder when they run into the Lizard People down there and go to war.

SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON

They did show the guy shooting the President early in the season. But it is a bit of a let down when there is no way to figure out who the killer is until the last episode.

MODS please add "Spoiler Alert" to the thread title for those of us who are not as far along in the series.

Thank you,

I agree with this. Loved the show, but in the end they treated the murder mystery like an episode of Scooby Doo. Ended up not being that interesting. Would've been better if they used that same guy and instead of haivng him infiltrate the bunker they had him outside the mountain with his own army of survivors plotting how to get into the bunker. That would've been a much better cliff hanger.

Then they coud've had the show end as Xavier was opening the gate to leave and inevitably letting in the army of survivors waiting outside. Now THAT would've been a cliff hanger.

If you're not up to date, don't read the thread. There is no reason to not freely discuss up to date series issues.

Exactly. Pretty simple concept.

That was a great watch. I do wish they wouldn't have cut backwards and forwards so god damn much but it worked most of the time. I just want the plot to keep moving. Thanks for the recommendation. Looking forward to season 2. I read they're already in production.

Finished it yesterday.

Fuck, we are going to have to endure more of DOCTOR HYPHENATED LAST NAME, who is so much of a girl boss that she isn't going to stay away from a business trip just because some man with inside knowledge told her it wouldn't be a good idea to go.

by the way, Xavier really doesn't have a valid beef with the Pres. How many different times does a guy who you know has inside knowledge, tell you that something is coming before you believe him? Every time he gets drunk, he spills his guts and tells you the world is ending. Knowing the story at the end, the President should have told him to grow up. He didn't have the ability to save her and he shouldn't have had an expectation of it. Does Xavier hold guilt for lying about saving that female staffer and her boy? Nope.

It's a mediocre, over the air network-type show. I bailed because of big, bad Jane. I said, "OK, that's enough of this."
