What a joke. Bears take way less to “do right” by Fields and he just bails after a year from Pittsburgh. Could’ve had at least a third for him, and for what? What did they get out of that gesture?

Zilch. Everyone knew that they were trading him only because they didn't want him to compete with the "Generational" one. If Fields was still on the Bears last season those calls to bench Caleb would have been much louder from Bears fans and they couldn't have that.

What’s his opportunity? He’s going to a bad team with no weapons . The excuses will start right away again about why he isn’t lighting it up . Raise your hand if you thought Darnold was going to have the season he had in MINN. No one had him doing well enough to receive a 3/100MIL contract this year. Hard to call me out on that prediction. But hey, at least Darnold knows how to throw and was able to make the leap to legit starter. Fields is a gimmick QB and will have a chance to prove everyone wrong in NY this year.

caleb pretty much had those 17 game stats (short a couple hundred on rushing yards but higher passing yards)

he doesnt. but neither did geno and they got a 3rd for trading him with the lateral move to darnold

justin fields will never lead a team deep into the playoffs because late in games when it becomes time to be an actual QB he fails. but some or one here for some reason forgets this.

Caleb also threw MANY more passes in those games than Justin Fields happened to throw. And had a decidedly worst record

Yeah and Caleb runs for a higher average. But they trust Caleb to throw because he can.

Teams have won the dance with worse than Sam Darnold. The Niners are really headed for a dark age, the Arizona thing is totally benign, McVay and the Rams are a constant threat but realistically the division is winnable.

If they can build a 2016 Denver or 2024 Philly-level defense they can make some serious noise with Darnold. Obviously easier said than done, but look where has Josh Allen really gotten the Bills? Just good enough to get beat by the Chiefs, even when the Chiefs were weak.


You have to go back to the stone ages to find a worse thrower of the football who started all his teams games than Caleb Williams in 2024. Historically bad, worst accuracy this century.

You'll have the chance to do some Caleb over/unders after the draft. I hope you participate.

Good for Fields. He's getting his shot. I'm happy for him. It wasn't ever going to work here, so maybe it works out somewhere else. As for the Bears, I like our guy. I'm going to root for them both. I kinda want fields to succeed more than Rodgers too so there's a rooting interest.
