dan had to lie to the Messenger
Had no regard for the fish that he brutally killed
he had no fear of the underdog
That's why he did not survive

Even at will employees are given severance to get them to sign a liability waiver. I have a hard time believing they fired him without giving him something like a week’s severance for every year of employment.

arguing over who lives in a more Jewy suburb was first popularized by the hockey rivalry between Deerfield High and Highland Park in the 80s when our Deerfield fans would throw bagels and cream cheese on the ice because our school was only 50% Jewish whereas HP was 75% Jewish.

Do they throw their yarmulkes when there's a hat trick in the Maccabiah Games?

I had two Jewish friends at Conant. One we called Bagels, and the other moved to Buffalo Grove.

I think that was with Geoff Schwartz. Schwartz probably leans right (if I had to guess), but, either way, did not take the bait and re-directed back to football. That should have been a TO by anyone in charge of Bernstein - going that hard with someone whom you probably have no idea their opinion. What an jerk move. I can't imagine what would have happened if Schwartz had responded with any type of counter-opinion.

That was the day where X (again, these children on the Score refuse to call it that because they hate Musk) was done and Bernstein must have mentioned Blue Sky around 25 times.

Ironic that he didn't take his own advice and just stay in his safe space.

Twitter is essentially a message board, and in my time on the internets, I've come up with a Theory of Forum Schisms, which is that when a message board community splits, either one of them dies or both of them do, but never will both halves of a partitioned community continue to thrive. That was the case with us, it's been the case on other communities I used to lurk, and so it is with X: The Everything App, where the mass exodus has enfeebled the original community but hasn't been enough for the new one to be successful. OF COURSE Dan couldn't shake Twitter for BlueSky because he couldn't get any engagement on BlueSky. BlueSky is just people sitting around contently talking about how happy they are to be off Twitter, but it can't grow beyond that lest it become Twitter again and start the cycle anew. Dan has never wanted to live in The Good Place: just look at, I don't know, his entire radio career.

It'd be one thing if he kept X:tEA for his own brand and even OneStep publicity. It made even less sense for Dan to have both accounts yet post "look at my dead gay fish" in The Bad Place. And shit why hadn't he muted or blocked someone like Messenger already? As you found, it wasn't the first time he engaged with Dan. At the least he should've had the rudimentary block-every-bluecheck plugin

I think refusing to call it X has more to do with calling it X sounds fucking stupid than any political leanings. It was Twitter for long enough that that's what it's called in the minds of most normal people.

Mmmm, well well well, some Fred Huebner ACTION!

I remember there being some acrimony between Fred and the B&B crew when he got laid off but I'm foggy on the details. It was probably just them clowning on him with drops.

Fred is outspoken on FB. He was just posting about how paying collegiate athletes has ruined the sports.

Now I'm picturing Fred Heubner dressed like and dancing around like Billie Eilish on SNL during her performance on "Bad Guy" and/or Bernstein doing the Razor Ramon "Say allo to the Bad Guy..." shtick.

It is probably the right thing to do, but it has changed the college sports for the worse.

Fred was loyal to Murph, and Murph was a frequent target of Dan/Terry.

Yeah, I remember it being kind of tense when Fred got reassigned to B&B updates (I think it was after George went to Webio).

Did anyone catch the transition , Leila to Matt and Laurence? Leila made it clear she is just a fill in and not the new mid day show as Matt had inferred Monday. She was adamant about it and Matt was kidded about his premature pronouncement. I got the very distinct impression that decisions about the mid day show's future is still to come and will not necessarily be Marshall and Leila.
