Those aren't the same things though. Like you, I hardly ever look at Facebook. Maybe once every couple months. The FB messenger app is different, it's not filled with a bunch of garbage I have no desire to look at, there are no censorship, moderation, or algorithm concerns. It's just a group text chat. That's why I said I don't consider it as an alternative to this board.
