He’s on track for a 500 HR career , the only players not in the HOF with 500 are the steroid guys.

He is 32yrs old with like 290hrs, how many more years do you see him playing? He will get 350hrs tops.

Right . He ends up around 320 this year . 6 more years of 30 HR gets him there at age 39 or so . He can DH into his 40’s . A left-handed power bat ? Play almost as long as he wants to . If he stays healthy, I think he gets it easily.

According to Bill James's favorite toy (https://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/billjames), he's good for 452.

well, in his 11 year career so far he has 6 seasons of 30+ HR, so all he has to do is END his career with 7 more consecutive 30+ HR seasons. I'm actually a big fan of his and will always be sorry he didn't have a longer ride with the Cubs, but that seems unlikely to me.

most of Theo's baseball ideas are good in the short term and disastrous long term

He's professor harold hill. He creates the problem and then is hired to solve them.

I'd be ecstatic if the Cubs sign him this winter. Let him DH and hit yabos for the rest of his career in a Cubs uniform.

Lol he created the 100 year drought of World Series Titles for the Red Sox and Cubs? I mean, he solved the biggest problem of them all.

never forget circa 2018 Bernstein saying "these guys will get back to the back of the baseball card statistically"

And I'm screaming at the radio "they've only played two-three years apiece in the majors!"

I was right. But wrong about K-Schwarb.

Imagine what kind of year he'd have if he cut 50 Ks off. A career year. Well, he's on pace to cutting Ks down to 146. If Theo came out and said a Kyle Schwarber with anywhere near equalized walks/K would be the best hitter in baseball, would he be wrong?
