I really hope the Bears draft Skattebo tonight. Great dude and an absolute dog with tree trunk legs. Would sell a lot of jerseys to the kids as well.

I heard he was dropping to day 3.

He’d be a solid option as a short yardage/3rd down type of back but I wouldn’t put a priority on grabbing him. He’s not a 3 down back at the NFL level imo.. more of a situational type

Agree to disagree, boys. Time will tell to see what kind of career he'll have.

I think everyone loves the idea of another Mike Alstott/Jerome Bettis bruiser but the reality is the league is just so full of total savages that its hard to stand out enough in pure physicality to make a career out of it. I hope he can because the profile would be so entertaining, but it’s pretty unlikely he will.

I think those comparisons are inaccurate and lazy. I watched a lot of him and he's electric. When defenses knew he would be getting the football, he still would run for a minimum of 4 yards. He was the biggest reason why they made it into the playoff and he's the biggest reason they nearly beat Texas to get into the final 4. He ran for 150 yards, he had 100 receiving yards, and threw a 40 yard TD.

What kind of special teams guy would he be? Personal protector on the punt team? Blocker on the return teams?

I think he could be Montgomery. I haven’t comped their 40s but he has that same competency in all aspects. He’s also always falling forward. Starters come from the 4th round all the time

Skattebo’s closest comp is Taysom Hill.

Not for nothing but Hill was a damn fine player that added a ton of value to those NO teams.
