I've tried to imagine how Hawk is deleting his own stuff and just can't ever figure it out.

I get a lot of "reports" from people that accidentally hit the "!" button instead of "quote" and their report is nothing but something they were trying to post. Maybe Hawk's hitting the "x" for delete post instead of "quote."

Most people who claim to love Jesus would hate him and label him a socialist if they actually met him.

Socialists always say this, and it's utterly ignorant.

Jesus didn't tell anyone to involuntarily give their money to a criminal organization so that they could give 10% of it to the poor. Tax collectors were often used in Biblical metaphors as the corrupt party.

Jesus said to give to the poor. And no one is stopping anyone from doing that.

Equating voluntarily giving your wealth to those in need with socialism incoherent.

The thing with these videos is there’s a distinct top shelf and once you exhaust it nothing else compares. Some cow spraying a quart of pus all over the place is a real once-in-a-blue-moon for these guys. A bog standard gunge dig just doesn’t hold up.

It looks so cool, though, especially when watching a video, where the sense of smell is irrelevant

I didn't hate the pope but I didn't like him. I think many of his views are progressive that are or could have a fundamental if not existential effect on the Catholic Church itself. He has also surrounded himself with some pretty awful people such as McCarrick and another whose name I can 't remember, that guy who embezzled money, and Fernandez who has some pretty odd views and I don't believe it's all coincidental. And as CH just said his heart was in the right place...maybe (I'm not so sure that is the case) but let's say that it was...the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Whether this is deliberate or not doesn't matter if the end result is negative.

I think many who profess their love of Jesus would love him very much if he returned provided they had a clear understanding of Jesus and believe in him. There is a second part to the parable of the adulterous woman that people seem to forget. There is much more to the golden rule and loving thy neighbor as stated and interpreted. While Catholics are called to forgive, and seek non retaliatory non personal means of justice, we are also expected to seek and spread truth and justice. We do not have to accept abuse and we are suppose to protect and care for the weak. Jesus ain't no progressive liberal and I'm not sure it's the job of the Catholic Church to be inclusive in the ways modern society wants it to be.

I honestly think what might be happening is that he posts, but while he was drafting his wall of crap someone else posted. If this happens you have to hit post again.

I know this because I also post walls of crap.

There are only about 50 female residents and most are spouses of guards or diplomats. They've got arguably the 3 greatest works of art in the world and a solid immigration policy. I don't think I could handle the intensity of the feelings good and bad on a daily basis.

Luckily, we can turn to Unitarianism.

You, ultimately, have to live with who you are, so you might as well proclaim it clearly and boldly. I think this was where Francis could be deficient. It's a tough balance to teach both "neither do I condemn you." and "Now go and sin no more". I'll thank anyone who takes on the task for his service.

Why is that so hard for you to balance?

because people take calling actions a sin as a condemnation

That was the beauty of Francis. Like Christ, he doesn't condemn. He didn't tell the woman specifically not to commit adultery. He didn't need to.

Catholic teaching is available and unequivocal.

Are you saying that the Catholic religion doesn't condemn sin, especially mortal sin? Please explain what Christ meant by "Go forth and SIN NO MORE?

The Catholic Church doesn't usually condemn people publicly.

The leave that up to you, and The Doctor of Style.

I responded to this post by Crest and by golly, it disappeared also among a couple of others. Could it be that someone only wants his opinion to be seen? Wonder why? I like a good debate on topical things. Seeing another's opinion and debating things make life interesting, does it not? Unfortunately your options get limited when part of the discussion gets removed.

I don't care for the cheap shot that Crest took at me and further pissed me off with the comment about condemning people. In a related post which also got erased, I told Crest that I have had a solid Catholic education and know that some of his statements regarding church doctrine was not true.

Seacrest wrote:

Below is a good example of it. There is not a single judgement in the post that is factually correct. You, and millions of others in the US should get a refund for the Catholic "education" that you received.

The Hawk wrote:
With Pope Francis' death, it will interesting what kind of Pope will replace him. Francis unfortunately became a leader who adopted a myriad of left winged and socialist or communist slants which clearly created a backlash among a huge portion of the Catholic church member ship who voiced their displeasure with dwindling attendance and contributions.

His blessing of homosexual marriage, half hearted punishment of pedophilia by priests, embrace of other woke causes like climate change mania, anti-Semitic criticism of Israel, and failure to criticize the Communist regime of China for its oppression and enslavement of the 2 million Muslim Ugars(sp?) in China. He also weakly failed to confront China on its oppression of Chinese Catholics and meekly caved to Xi in agreeing to let China approve any bishops to any Chinese Catholic Church position. He also went silent on the imprisonment of The Vatican appointment of the senior Cardinal of China. In addition he never spoke up about the disappearance of many Catholic clerics in China.

I am confident that Francis will get many plaudits from the woke members of the catholic faith but to me, Pope Francis was the worst prelate of my lifetime. Hopefully the person who replaces him can do a much better job. The Church needs some necessary healing and a moral compass sorely lacking.

Are you talking about Francis as being lazy?

The guy who MANY nights passed up sleep to spend time with the homeless and mentally ill on the streets of Rome?
