Just putting this here as a placeholder for the Sanders vs Justin Fields and all that argument.

If he doesn't go in the 3rd, I think he goes undrafted.

If I were a GM and I didn’t have an absolute franchise QB I’d roll the dice with him in the 6th or 7th round. Most players in these rounds bust out anyways. Take a QB that isn’t terrible that comes in with an edge and wants to prove everyone wrong.

Is he better than Tyson Bagent? If so, take him in the 7th.

The Browns should take him. They’re relatively talented and I think he’d fit in well with that division.

And also, Dillon Gabriel is likely a bum.

A lot of teams are going to look stupid for passing on him.

Really thought the Steelers would take him with their 3rd round pick. Mason Rudolph is their QB1 right now…..

Yesterday it was self perpetuating, and then when he fell past Pittsburgh I think everyone who was even thinking about taking him panicked and averted course.

Now they’ve had all night to think about it I think he gets scooped pretty fast. Maybe Pete Carroll likes the idea. Or somebody will trade up.

He will be a pain in the ass, especially if he’s not starting (which he won’t be). That hurts his value, but does it really make him undraftable?

Do the Bears still have a pick in the 6th? I'd take him there if he drops that far.

Getting embarrassed like this might actually be a good thing for him in the long run. He will also be eligible to be tagged/free agent after 4 instead of 5 years if he does end up being good.

I would have agreed if it were the second or third round but at this point he is being deliberately humiliated by the league. There’s no spinning this one as a positive, he fell past Dillon Gabriel.

I am not sure how a league that drafts people of horrible character on yearly basis draws the line at Sanders?

He's a distraction.

NFL coaches loathe distractions.

As Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders continues his historical draft tumble, more details are emerging as to why this is happening. According to CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones, Sanders' slide is a reflection of how he carried himself through the pre-draft process.

An unnamed coach even told NFL Media that his interview with Sanders was "the worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life," which leads to several other questions: Did Sanders struggle in every interview? Did he purposefully bomb interviews with teams he didn't want to go to? Todd McShay of The Ringer reported recently that Sanders' interview with the New York Giants and Brian Daboll was one that did not go well.

"Shedeur didn't have a great interview with Brian Daboll in a private visit," McShay said. "An install package came in. Preparation wasn't there for it. [He] got called out on it. Didn't like that. Brian didn't appreciate him not liking it."

And Daboll essentially confirmed that btw.

An interesting question is how much would it be worth it for the Niners to spend a pick on Shedeur Sanders as part of the Brock Purdy negotiation. Does that move the needle? If it does, how much is that worth in terms of draft capital? Kyle Shanahan is actually one of the better coaching fits for the circus, he won’t tolerate the bullshit. They cut bait on Trey Lance fast with three firsts invested in him. It’s one of the few situations that would scare the kid straight.

I feel like Dallas grabs him at some point. The Jets taking him would be worth many pages on this site.

If Shedeur Sanders is on the bench the amount of pressure that will put on from Deion, ESPN and the absolute crush of social media will be unrelenting. Every incomplete pass or god forbid interception will be treated like the biggest blunder in league history. It’s not fair to put your starting quarterback through that, and from a strict football perspective it’s just not worth the headache unless you really, really believe in the player. Clearly nobody does. Not even Mike Tomlin.

It's a combo of what you said and what Daboll confirmed. Summed up by Seacrest. Coaches HATE 'wet behind the ears', entitled players. It's headache they don't need.

Can he go back to college somewhere else and grow up?
