The Bears were in a position to have both those players.

I saw Wright was the number five rated RT last year…..you cannot bitch about the O Line and then complain that they used a high pick on a quality starter there.

Dont get this pick at all. A LB that was ranked like 360 and predicted to be an undrafted FA. You need an Edge. you need a RB and you go with this reach?

yeah I am in agreement now that they drafted a guy predicted to be an UDFA

Hard to make sense of that.

Need an edge. Need a RB. Need a S and you go with a LB that is ranked that low

That lb traits scream special teams. Seems early for that. We are still in the 4th. Good teams get starters here

Feels like mbow would be a good pick here. Future center and versatile across the line

Bears trade pick 148 to Rams for a 4th round pick in 2026 and pick 195 in the 6th round this year

That is finally a good trade. Next year is supposed to be a better draft

But poles will trade it for some vet rb because he didn’t draft one

It’s funny -all of the draft guys I followe had the same reaction in that they didn’t even know who he was. Shit, Brett Kohlman had to look him up live because he and EJ had never even heard of him lol.. and that’s wild if you know anything about the Bootleg guys because they know just about everyone

Like I’ve been saying all along, Poles should have been launched in the off-season and they should have reset everything together. Johnson doesn’t have as much to do with this draft as many might think, especially in the later rounds. He wouldn’t even have the time to scout this far. So we’re left with the same idiots making the same idiot mistakes when it comes to the draft that have been fucking things up for years now.

There are morons still running the front office. That’s how you wind up with shit like this. Poles trading 148 away this year for something next year highlights his delusional belief that he has infinity to build this team. He needs to pick players now and build the team now but he’s dumb and can’t get out of his own way.

Let’s hope Johnson can coach his way around all this bullshit because outside of the 1st 2 picks the Bears have drafted a lot of backups and projects.

Strengths of the draft: edge and rb

Bears needs: edge and rb

Bears picks: te and wr

In theory they have put a lot of draft capital into the ol with a 1, 3 and 2 the last three years. We should be very comfortable there if they know what they are doing

CB Zah Frazier from UTSA taken.

Quote:
Zah Frazier is a tall, long-limbed press-man corner with impressive burst, recovery speed and physicality at the line of scrimmage. His nearly 33-inch arms allow him to disrupt routes early, and he has enough fluidity to mirror receivers downfield. While his transitions can be slightly labored, his acceleration helps compensate. He’s still developing in zone coverage and has limited high-level experience due to his JUCO background, but his traits give him strong developmental upside. A capable tackler, Frazier profiles as a perimeter corner with the tools to neutralize bigger vertical threats.

The IOL Detroit just picked, Miles Frazier from LSU, would have been a good selection for the Bears instead of the 25 year-old cornerback from UTSA.

Jeremiah had Frazier ranked #61 in his top 100.

The OL from BC seems like a good pick. They still need more young depth on the interior. Detroit just made a seemingly great selection by getting Miles Frazier, a guard from LSU, right after the Bears picked a geriatric cornerback who only managed to crack the starting lineup for one year at perennial powerhouse UTSA.

The Bears are leaving the draft with the same questions they had going into the draft.

Insane when you consider how deep this draft was with those needs.

This is 100% Poles. Should have fired him after the season.

Their first four picks seem very good. The last two have been horrific.

Bears take Luke Newman G from Mich State with 6th round pick. Kiper says he played center at the East/West Shrine game and that was probably his best shot in the NFL.

The media has been glazing the Bears drafts for years. When’s the last time they actually had a smash hit of a pick? Jaylon Johnson?

Quinn Ewers should have taken that NIL money for another season.

Depth at this point. Can’t hate it even tho overall this draft has disappointed me.. btw Breshard Smith still on the board maybe they take him in the 7th or take a flyer on him as a UDFA..

Depending on how high they went up the board, the Bears could’ve put themselves in contention for players such as Abdul Carter or Ashton Jeanty. But at the same time, it would’ve cost Chicago a significant amount. The Jacksonville Jaguars gave up a second-rounder and their 2026 first-rounder to go from No. 5 to No. 2. Imagine if the Bears jumped up that high from No. 10?

Still, general manager Ryan Poles was trying to make a move, aggressively picking up the phones as the clock started ticking down. In the end, Poles felt it just, “didn’t make sense,” to trade up the board, via Courtney Cronin of ESPN.

“When we made those calls up, it took you out,” Poles said. “I briefly mentioned this on Tuesday – there’s a run coming up here that I think you can make a pretty big impact on your football team. To give that up for one person, so giving up two for one – and it probably would’ve been even more than that – it just didn’t make sense.”

I stopped paying attention to the draft after the Rams first pick....I see A's and B's on the Bears picks.....big things happening for next season

The draft does not disappoint me, just confuses me at points. I do not understand taking a TE in the first round when there are such glaring needs on the lines. I get at the 10 spot there was not really any OL that probably warranted that selection as the top tackles were gone. But there were a handful of edge guys there that you could have selected. Loveland better be a game changing TE or this will be a huge blackmark on Poles record.

I get Burden in the 2nd round. He was considered by some to be a top WR in this draft and to be able to get him at that spot is really good value. I really like the other two 2nd round picks on the lines.

The LB pick is awful. There were several other guys available in positions of need that could have been taken.

The CB pick is fine. I have actually heard a lot about this guy from a Packer friend of mine who is a huge draft nerd. He spends months studying the draft prospects and giving lists of guys he wants for the Pack in each round. This guy was high on his list for the 4th or 5th round.

NEWMAN ( gotta love that name) can maybe a depth piece for the interior of the line.

And they finally take a RB in the last round.

I would say my draft grade would be a B- and if Loveland is really good then that obviously bumps this thing up a lot.

If I could give the Bears an F- for this weekend, I would. What an absolute shit show of a draft. They literally accomplished nothing to improving this roster.

The LB from Maryland makes no sense at all, 361st ranked player in the 4th is very stupid.
