I haven't been to the movies since before covid. After seeing a clip of this on Fallon last weekend I can safely say this movie will not be the one that gets me to return.

convoluted and the first half really dragged. The action scenes were fun.

Maybe I needed to immerse myself in the whole MI universe in order to get it.

Yeah, I didn’t care for the whole retro montage of scenes from the other movies. I did like they brought back the Bill Dunlow character from MI:1.

Bro this movie was retarded. I desperately wanted to love it but wtf, they fucked it up. It is literally like 85 minutes of pure exposition dialogue explaining itself to the audience and then when it finally shows instead of tells it makes stupid mistakes.

What did they do with the dogs? You want to spend more than half the run time closing any and every plot hole and answering every single character motivation & scheme then you better explain why the dogs got left on the ice shelf to die.

Also the opposite of Chekhov’s gun is the Inuit rifle that never gets used despite being schlepped all over god’s green acres.
