Credit where its due. You generally post way more about the Cubs. Can't say the same for some of the other turds. Some of whom may be vaccinated and/or boosted.

Sox fans came into this thread pissing on PCA's success. You think we are going to let these comments just slide when your pathetic excuse for a team is setting records for losses!

But he seems to understand how to adjust to what pitchers do, and he's hopefully going to end up at least as a .240/.290/.410 guy who hits 7th for the next seven or eight years before settling into a journeyman 4th OF for another four or five.

He's not Andruw Jones.

The Cubs have (I think?) the best record in the NL. The White Sox are in the midst of losing 140+ games across three seasons. And there is a section of Cubs fans here who are posting more about the Sox and Luis Robert Jr (and Tim Anderson  ) than their own first place club.

I thought the narrative was that its the Sox fans who have an inferiority complex? Or maybe these guys are trying to make up for shortcomings, ahem, elsewhere.

I hate to burst your bubble, but I've been a Cub fan since 1970. Even though Jack Brickhouse was too busy watching whores shit on coffee tables during road trips to find time to tell us that all of the 1970s prospects were garbage.

what's deviant is needing to post under another name in the cubs/pca threads because their take(s) on pca in 2023 through 2024 doesn't match up with pca's current production and abilities.

"hits like a pitcher".

you know who you are...

Ok, I was wrong about PCA's ceiling. He is the white Eric Davis. Hopefully he doesn't get hurt like Davis did.

Yeah I was confused about what you said given your baseball knowledge. He has the tools. Plate discipline is the only concern.

I didn't think the power would be consistent, but the league still hasn't adjusted after 60 games. He is obviously growing into it without sacrificing the speed, he is still only 23. If he can keep his OBP at league average that'll be fine, a four-tool player is still a very good player.

My buddy just caught that foul ball to left off PCA’s bat in the top of the 8th.

As of this morning, he's got a 3.9 WAR. On pace for a little above 10.

A season WAR above 10 would put him in the company of tons of Hall of Famers.

My point is that 99% of players who've posted a single season WAR above 9 is in the Hall of Fame. It's rare company. PCA is on pace to reach 10. Take a glance at Baseball Reference.
