Getting back to the original question posed by Mac, the answer is:

The Bears are who we thought they were Mac!

TOTALLY outcoached on that awful goal line stop by the Vikings. WHY do you run two plays right into the strength of that team - their defensive line.

Interesting that this is the second game that the Vikings have gotten away with their players taking their helmets off after the play.

But talk about a momentum swing - the Bears should have taken the consolation prize, kicked the field goal and been up 10-3.

Instead they get snuffed, and Berrian fries Tillman for what ultimately was a 10-7 lead, and all the momentum of the game swung on two plays.

I'm sure Lovie Smith will give them one helluva halftime speech. Hopefully they won't need a hot cup of java before coming back on the field.

If Lovie had any balls he would have marched into Turner's office and ripped that quick handoff to the fullback play out of the playbook weeks ago.

Also, anybody catch what Andrea Kramer said at halftime? Lovie apparently said "we dominated the first half." Yeah, but you should have been up 14-3, or 10-3 at the very least, and instead were down by 10 at half. Quite the domination, Lovie.

I didn't think the play calling was bad at all. Forte hit some big runs. There were balls that should have been caught. Orton threw some picks.

Ron Turner is a good OC.

The Bears made it a 17-14 game, and the offense followed with this: punt, int, punt, int, int, punt, punt, end of game.

Now, those int's are on Orton for the most part, but to say the playcalling was not bad is absurd.

In other news Patrick Mannelly extended his perfection streak to 169 games.

The answer is HELL NO!!! :x What really pissed me off about last night's game was that we let Bernard Berrian get away to a DIVISION RIVAL, and that Gus Frerotte made the Bears pay on one play that single-handedly changed momentum that the Bears never recovered! :x  I can understand if the Bears didn't want to pay Berrian, but to let him go to a DIVISION RIVAL may haunt this franchise for years to come!

We can't control where he goes if we don't franchise him.

Berrian was not worth the $. He is not a #1 WR, and neither is Devin Hester.

That Berrian TD catch was straight up big time blown coverage by 'Nut. Anyone could have taken that one to the house.

The only thing Berrian can do that this year's Bears' receivers can't do is catch the ball.

Frank, I have a serious problem with Berrian signing WITH A DIVISION RIVAL in the Minnesota Vikings! That really pisses me off & the Bears will regret losing Berrian in the long run! Also, what is Devin Hester? Is he a return guy or is he a receiver? HE CAN'T BE BOTH ANYMORE!!! :x
