Bulls fans, I was hoping the Bulls would make a run at bringing Elton Brand back to Chicago and correct one of the worst errors of the post-Jordan era by trading him to the L.A. Clippers in one of GM Jerry Krause's last trades before he got fired. Elton would've provided the kind of frontcourt production I don't see from any of the Bulls' current big men, with the exception of Drew Gooden. Tomorrow, Elton's current team, the Philadelphia 76ers, faces the team that drafted him #1 in 1999 in a 4p start at the Wachovia Center. It not only ends the Bulls' seven game Circus Road Trip, but it's the first of a home & home vs. the Sixers, whom they'll rematch Tuesday night at United Center. The Sixers are 7-9, and got their clocks clean in Boston Friday night, losing 102-78 to the NBA Champions. They've been one of the NBA's early season disappointments after the first month, and Brand is averaging 16.9 PPG & 9.9 PRG so far. Given the fact the Bulls have had 4 days off prior to this game, one would think the Bulls have a shot to win this one. I'm not so sure, especially given the lack of production & depth from the Bulls' frontcourt. I think the Sixers win this one by 8, ending the Bulls' road trip at 2-5.

the sixers are out of synch right now; i think it'll be closer than that, or i think the bulls win this one.

my sixers just don't know what to do with established players lately...

Thanks for that animated gif, Matt. I jumped out of my seat when Rose shook Miller yesterday. That was worse than when Iverson shook Jordan in the same building.

To borrow a baseball term, Bulls' GM John Paxson has hit a home run with drafting Derrick Rose. What #1 did to the Sixers' Andre Miller on that block was unbelievable, not to mention his drive to the hoop. With the exception of that one clunker out in Portland, Derrick's play has been so good, opposing coaches around the NBA are simply raving. He's also been getting the star treatment by ESPN, as camera crews have followed Rose into the arena whenever the Bulls are featured nationally. The way he's playing and putting on quite a show game after game, I won't be shocked if Derrick plays in both the Rookie/Sophomore Game & the All-Star Game this February out in Phoenix. DERRICK'S THAT DAMN GOOD!! :D

Here is a more clean video of the Rose crossover with a couple of replays. Made Miller look like a bitch. You know what sucks? Rose could have taken one more baby dribble and dunked that son of a bitch. That would have made this play epic. Rose didn't realize he had the room/time for one more dribble. The defender didn't close for the charge. He will have a couple of those crossover/dunks before the year is over.

Thats what I've been saying all day. When you have a 6-2 point guard up there blocking shots and throwing down alley-oop's, then ya got somthin'

I agree. The block was more impressive. Rose was way behind him. He covered ground with lightning speed. My God, did he have some hops on that block too.

Remember when Calipari said of Rose, "His chin touches the rim." Well, on that block, Rose's chin came pretty damn close to the rim.

This kid is exciting.

Bolck of the night, fools.

Yeah, Beardown, this kid is exciting. Had it not been for the miraculous draft lottery, this team would be dead in the water, and I'd have almost no interest in watching. But with Rose, I'm surprised to find myself having a hard time waiting for the next game. He's better and more exciting than I had even hoped for. Finally, the Bulls have a legitimate star player.

I didn't know the 76ers signed a morbidly obese white woman. Deng could get slump busting done.

Game on the line...Gordon brings the ball up, Thomas and Gooden throwing up jumpers, Rose not getting touches and the only one hitting the boards.
