We actually work along with one of Kerry Wood's childhood friends who is in constant contact with him via cell phone. According to Kerry Wood, Cleveland is the front runner in terms of offers.

Great Wood gets WS MVP as Cleveland ends their "drought" while this Cub fan watches in disgust.

Yeah no shit. The last thing I want to see is Wood go to the Indians to beat up on my Sox.

Good luck to Wood, I wish him the best.

I guess I still don't get this. If the guy wanted to stay here, was willing to sign a short-term deal and wasn't going to be a dick about money, then what's the problem? How does Jim Hendry presume to know what's in Wood's best interest, if Wood thinks differently? Oh well.

I'll root for him every time he pitches, except against the Cubs. I hope he stays healthy and is again a member of the NL All-Star team. I hope he goes to the playoffs with whomever signs him and does great, right up to the point where he faces the Cubs. Then, I hope he hangs every curve he throws and misses on location regularly and leaves his fastball thigh high over the heart of the plate.

Pretty hard to do that with the Indians moron.

He's rumored to go to the Mets now, as well as the Indians-MORON. I'm hoping he stays in the NL, so I have the chance to see him pitch more often.

I'm just glad he will not be in the same division as the Cubs, so there is no real conflict with either team he may sign with. When he was talking with the Reds, I was worried about him possibly reuniting with Dusty or going to Milwaukee to take over as the closer there.

Shoutout to Ugie: Im too lazy to look it up and since its not official yet im not gonna put it in the shoutout section but I believe Ugie told us wood was headed to the indians weeks ago. He knows a guy who knows a guy who went to rabbi school with Kerry woods uncles neighbors former roommate or something.

Anyway he had it right. Nice job Shiv

Thanks for the nod.

Wood apparently had this decided weeks ago, however nothing was able to be listed as "official" until just recently.

To their credit Indians fans are welcoming him with open arms. There's a buzz about him over there. Their only worry is his health. I just sent my Indians fan friend a WE Got Wood Tshirt.

I hope before the Indians get here in June he will not have been used for a week so they can bring him in in a non save situation to get him some work with the Cubs winning so we can root for him to do well.

There was also talk today Ryan Dempster is taking over his bowling event. Ryan is the most likely guy to take over Kerry's off the field presence in Chicago. His off the field shoes are pretty big ones to fill.

I'm not worried about Marmol as closer. I'm more worried about replacing Marmol in his old role.
