I only asked for the statistical comparison to shed some light on how the Bears should proceed with Orton in the future, not to advocate for Rex in the present. I see Orton making some of the same mistakes.

Don't forget the 2 rushing TDs for Orton...Zero for Rex. Also Rex had 7 fumbles, 4 lost, and Orton has 6 fumbles, 5 lost.

Comparing based on consistency is no contest. Kyle has had his worst games this season in 2 of the last 3 weeks...and his ratings in both of those games are still higher than Rex's 5 worst. Rex had 7 games over 100 qb rating, Kyle has 2 so far.
I don't think there are many, if any, people who think Rex should have been given another shot or still deserves one.

It's good to see that you could join the discussion. No one is say Rex deserved or still deserves a shot. I was only answering a question. When it came to fumbles I was only listing fumbles lost. I gave Rex credit for an additional fumble by mistake. I think my first statement is correct. Rex had better numbers but Orton has been more consistent. Consistency wins you more games than roller coasters

I actually meant to quote that from you about Orton being more consistent but I wasn't directing my post at anybody so I didn't want to make it look like I was. It was kinda obvious that I agreed with what you said anyway. But apparently you thought otherwise. I was just adding a thought. I wasn't saying that you, or anybody specifically, thought Rex deserved a shot. Just that I don't think there are many left who think so.... I certainly didn't and still don't. And throw Rashied Davis into the group that don't deserve to be on the field too. He sucks!

Packers lost, but the Vikings are about to go up 17 or 21 to 0 in the first quarter. We pinned our hopes on the Arizona Cardinals. Dumb. Guess that's it for the Bears.

Because of the way the tiebreakers work, the game next week against Atlanta is actually more important than this one.

Yeah, I never remember the tiebreaks after head-to-head. Go Falcons, in that case. They could do it. Why does Tarvaris Jackson look competent?

Rex also had much better play from the o line back then as well.

Not according to Cedric Benson.
