***Bowl Games Sat./Sun., NFL Thurs./Sat.***

***Packers v. Bears Monday Night***

This weekly wagering contest will reward the best football prognosticator with a $100 gift certificate from a meat/steak company. New guys can still join in any time and you don't have to make a pick every week. Post them all at once or in separate posts, but they must be posted in the current week's contest thread. Post your plays any time, but they must be posted before a game you are playing kicks off. You must make your picks in this thread and you must provide at least one reason for each pick. Minimum 50 picks to qualify by the end of the contest.

***Note: There are 2 weeks left of NFL regular season games. The final week of the contest will be college only, Dec.30-Jan.8. The final game is the matchup of Big 12 Champ Oklahoma Sooners against the SEC Champ Florida Gators, who are around 3 point favorites from what I see. The total is 70+. Good Luck everybody!

Wake Forest -3 against Navy in D.C.
BYU +3 against Arizona in Las Vegas

Jaguars +6.5 against Colts
Every team has its nemesis and the Jags certainly seem to be that for the Colts. It seems like the Jags are always dogs to the Colts and always win straight up, which is what is keeping this line below 7. Jags came back strong last week against the Pack and I think they will continue to pound it on the ground against a less than healthy Colts D. Ultimately for me this comes down to a line that just looks strange

Why can't I edit in these posts?

Switching my Las Vegas Bowl:

Now Arizona -3 against BYU

Bears Packers OVER 40.5
I see a lot of yards being gained on both sides of the ball.

Colts -6 vs Jaguars- Even though the Jags won last week, the Colts usually dominate the Jaguars at the Jacksonville.

From thegreek.com:

Indianapolis (-5) over Jacksonville
The Colts need to keep on rolling into the top wild card spot and into the playoffs.

More picks to come tomorrow.

Arizona -3 over BYU

Arizona's first bowl game this decade while BYU making their 4th straight trip to the Vegas Bowl. Gotta think AZ is the more fired up team in this one, with the better D.

Dolphins -3.5 vs Chiefs- The Chiefs have played tough at home, but after last week's tough loss, I see Miami coming in an getting this one.

Eagles -4.5 vs Redskins- I think the Redskins are just too beat up physically and mentally, and the Eagles are still fighting for the playoffs.

Texans -7 vs Raiders- The Texans will be the team next year, but keep this late run going by taking it to the Raiders.

Week 17 Keep Hope Alive for the Bearzsince the Bills are toast

Pittsburgh -1 @ Tennessee

Hines Ward takes out at least two Titans players. Steelers D blows up the run game.

Miami @ Kansas City +3 1/2

Fins still win, but KC finds a way to botch this one too.

Arizona @ New England -9

Pats get well at home. AZ waiting another 2 weeks before playing a game. It's cold, wear a coat!

Cincinnati +3 @ Cleveland

Not a fan of the Ken Dorsey era. Damn Ced Benson and his questionable training!

Philly -4 1/2 @ Washington

I'm a beliver in McNabb. Just as long as Westbrook is there.

San Fransisco -4 1/2 @ St. Louis

Rams have used up all the fight they have left. Torry Holt will find something to complain about.

Atlanta +3 1/2 @ Minnesota

Falcons are a much better team playing outside their division.

Saints @ Detroit +7

Could this be the week for the Lions? No. But they cover.

Carolina +3 1/2 @ NY Giants

Look for Panthers to win this one straight up. Even missing an O lineman.

NY Jets -3 1/2 @ Seahawks

Will Brett Farve and the D give up another west coast game? Can't do it.

Houston -7 @ Oakland

Steve Slaton you are my hero! Raiders are a bunch of bums.

Buffalo +6 @ Denver

Bills are done, but they have Gibran Hamdan at backup QB. He's Indiana tough!

San Diego @ Tampa Bay -3 1/2

I would still like TB as favorites if the game was in SD.

Green Bay @ Chicago -4

Beardown Chicago Bears! Win 10 games and not make the play-offs!

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl
Troy -4 1/2 vs. Southern Miss (55)

The Golden Eagles won with a stout defense, allowing 21 points in their last three games combined. That makes for an interesting subplot in a game featuring the Trojans' entertaining spread attack, which accounted for a whopping 72 pass attempts at LSU. Take the over.

TCU -2.5

This should go in next week's thread. I will enter this in the bowl thread.

Oddsmaker or SBG

Atlanta +3 over Minny

NFC South the better division. Since Atl also a dome team the HF advantage not as great for Minny. Tavaris Jackson had a real good game last week, but can he perform like that 2 weeks in a row? If Atlanta can control the Minny running game they win this one.

Tenn +3 over Pitt

This one opened Tenn -1. Tenn at home getting a FG. I will take it.

New England -8 over Arizona

Arizona on the east coast has been a disaster this year. That continues today.

San Fran -3.5 over St Louis

SF has played decent the last few weeks. They outplayed Miami last week but couldn't get the win. St Louis is just bad. Line opened SF -5.5.

Brandon Lang gave out the Steelers as a 30 dime play, so fade away.

Over 41 Nyj/Sea

Jets have gone over in 7 of their last 8. Last 3 Seattle games have gone over 41 pts. Both O's should be able to move it.

Under 37.5 Phil/Wash

Lookin for a low scoring hard hitting game in Washington. 24 and 30 pts were scored in the first 2 Washington home division games.

You gotta love Lang. If you are ever in a slump, just fade this clown. Last night, he gave out Dallas and the under. Today, he gets murdered with the Steelers. And to think, Nort isn't even good enough to hang with garbage like this.

Packers +4 vs Bears- A rivalry game and Packers would like one last one before the season ends and will be a lot of pressure on them next week to win.
