Alamo

Over 66 NW/Mizzou

Mizzou O better than anything NW saw in the BIG 10 this year. NW O is healthy and should also be able to get some pts. If both teams finish their drives with TD's this one will be in the 70's for sure.

Smurf Turf Bowl

Nevada -2.5: Maryland doesn't want to be in Boise. ACC teams that travel to Boise get run on pretty hard.

Tejas Bowl
Rice -2.5: Rice is on fire, winning 6 in a row and having a virtual homegame.
OVER 73.5: Both teams will be firing away. Rice's D not so good, but their O is.

Week III New's Years Eve Eve

Roady's Humanitarian Bowl
Maryland vs. Nevada -2 1/2 (61)

For those who haven't seen Colin Kaepernick play, the Humanitarian Bowl will be a treat. Kaepernick, the WAC player of the year, is a dual threat and half of the nation's second-best rushing attack (with running back Vai Taua), which is averaging 291.4 yards per game.

Maryland has been the most schizophrenic team this season, so there's no telling which Terrapins might show up.
Take the over.

Texas Bowl
Rice -2 1/2 vs. Western Michigan (74 1/2)

Rice will stay at home with hopes of winning its first bowl game since 1954. James Casey and Jarrett Dillard were the only pair of receivers in the nation to average 100 receiving yards per game.

They will be facing a Broncos defense that ranked 96th nationally in pass defense but allowed only five touchdown passes over the final six games of the season.
Take the under.

Pacific Life Holiday
Oregon vs. Oklahoma State -1 (76)

Both teams rank in the nation's top 10 in scoring with more than 41 points a game, and neither is particularly stout on defense, so expect the scoreboard to be busy.

The difference might be Oklahoma State's balance, with quarterback Zack Robinson hooking up with Dez Bryant.

Of course, the Ducks' passing offense did pick up late in the season, with quarterback Jeremiah Masoli throwing for 572 yards and five touchdowns in the final two games.
Take the over.

12/31 Games
Oregon State -1: With this game being on turf, this helps the Beavers whose team speed is greater than the panthers. (WIN)

Boston College -3.5: Vandy comes into this game having lost 6 of 7. Make that 7 of 8. (LOSS)

Adding:

Georgia Tech -4 (LOSS)
Kansas -8.5 and OVER 58.5 (WIN, WIN)

New Year's Day

Iowa -3.5 vs South Carolina- I think this is the only sure one for the Big 10 and Shon Greene runs wild.

Clemson -2 vs Nebraska- I think Clemson wants to play for their new coach and gets another win.

Georgia and Michigan State over 55.5- I see Georgia putting up points and if Michigan State wants to win, will need to score over 30.

Penn State +8 vs USC- I am one of the few that think Penn State may win, will need to run the ball too.

Virginia Tech +2.5 vs Cincinnati- I like the Virginia Tech's defense and Tyrod running the offense makes them better.

A bonus pick, non-football

I like the Blackhawks over the Red Wings tommorow.

Happy New Year to Everybody.

Texas Tech -4 vs Mississippi- I like for Harrell to pass the ball all day, and make it a nice blowout win to close the year out.

Connecticut -10 (2nd half)

5 UConn lost fumbles on their own side of the field, are the only reason Buffalo isn't getting killed right now. Buffalo has no offense, and cannot stop the Huskies rushing. If UConn hangs onto the football, they roll in the second half.

For the last time this year

Oklahoma +5 vs Florida- I just like Oklahoma's offense, the one things that worries me is Tebow, but I will take the Sooners.

I enjoyed the contest and hope it comes back next year.
