Bad Dude likes the over in the Atlanta/Arizona game. He set up his own thread. Good enough for me.

Arizona -1

Atl/Arizona - Over 51

Bet 'em each and parlayed it.

I put 20K on Arizona getting 2 points. That is 20K points...not $$$

If that hits...I'm going "all in" on Indy tonight.

Side Note: The NFL and the networks doing the games call it "Wild Card Weekend" or "Wild Card Round". It kind of bugs me cuz there are actually 4 division winners playing 4 wild card teams. They're not all wild cards!!!! I know. Who gives a shit what they call it? It just always has bothered me.

I'm going with all the road teams this weekend. All the home teams have weaknesses that could be taken advantage of:

Arizona- Has been underwhelming, despite having a former MVP at QB and some extremely talented WRs. I think Matt Ryan can pick away at Arizona's D, and Burner Turner will dominate.

San Diego- Underachievers all year. Will continue to underachieve, and will do so against the wrong team, your AFC Champion Indianapolis Colts.

Miami- The strongest of the home teams, IMO. However, they face another up and coming star, Joe Flacco and a strong defense that won't let Miami play tricks on them (Wildcat Offense). Could be a close game.

Minnesota- What's that horrible sound? Is that choking? YES!

They should call it the play-in round, and say the real playoffs start next weekend. :)

Used to be 3 wildcards vs. one divisional team.

I think you mean 1 wild card and 3 division champs.

There used to only be 2 rounds before the Super Bowl. No bye weeks for playoff teams. Now we have 3 rounds before the Super Bowl. Bye weeks for the top 2 seeds in each conference. There used to only be 3 division champs and 1 wild card in each conference. Now we have 4 division champs and 2 wild cards per conference.

No, I mean 3 wild card and 1 division winner, after 1990. You're talking about when there were only four teams. I'm talking about when there six, but only three division winners. The highest wild card would get a home game against the middle wild card, and the lowest division winner would get a game against the lowest wild card.

Oh yeah. You're right.

There has always been 6 playoff teams per conference since 1990. It's just they added a division and took away a wild card in 2002.

Before 1990 there were only 3 division champs and 1 wild card per conference. 2 rounds before the Super Bowl. No bye weeks.

So when they had 3 vs 1 it made sense that they called it "Wild Card Weekend". I see your point. It doesn't make sense now but they stuck with it. What the hell? Everybody hates change.

I still call it the American Professional Football Association. I'm old school.

My dad calls it the Ohio League... he's even older school.

Broke even this weekend. I have no idea how Eagles/Vikings didn't go over. They had 30 points at half. I had already circled that as a win.

I thought Mike North style meant you ignored the vig -- of course, Mike North did ignore much more than that, but that was one of the basics that he ignored. :) Wish that I had a push weekend... I was 1-3. My girlfriend was 4-0(!)
