Murph's a Tool will probably kick in a good 90 or so...But let me get it started:

1) Continued mention of sports figures most of us can't relate to or don't care about (Tom Veryzer and Gary Woods, where are you?)

2) Annoying sound effects (what-if bell, the damn cows, etc.).

3) Is a one-team show. I think the world could be caving in and Murph would still be talking about some obscure play made by Paul Noce in 1987. You can't possibly tell me people give a shit.

4) Stupid bits. Send "What's Your Beef" to the stockyards already.

Keep it going, guys...This should be easy.

5) Talks over callers

6) Talks over guests

7) Is way too Cub intensive, even when attempting to discuss the Sox, we eventually roll around the the Cubs

8) Has his set topic in mind and should a caller call in with a new one, must ask the caller his opinion on Murphs stated topic for the day

9) Main analysis includes "we all played little league, pee wee, park district basketball" so we know what should happen in that situation. I agree sometimes, however, tackling a 220 lb running back Murph? 99% of us have never done that.

10) Acts like a pussy to everyone else at the station, takes his ball and goes home with the slightest insult to him

ok I yield my time back to the chairman....

I agree - their chicken can't hold a candle to Popeye's or KFC. Tastes way greasier and bland - YEECHH!

31) Maybe if he spent some time in the locker room, he realize that most of the time the athletes themselves are to blame for poor performance on the field.

32) He's too sensitive when co-workers bring up the fact he's never been in a locker room (see Mike Mulligan).

33) Too many drops from the early days of radio. Does Chuck Shaeden know Murph's robbed the vaults?

35) "The Rock Island Line"

36) Sloppy or non existant research (eg "Dr Pepper contains prune juice" {it never has}, wrong $ values for Monopoly cards, etc etc

37) Refusal to do transition with B&B

38) Picking a sound bite & playing it ad nauseum On one of the old evening shows he played "Bud Selig refused to talk to us" 27 times in 5 hours.

39) Creepy looking dude. I was on my way out of this pizza joint in Bridgeport I had a lunch at. They were doing a remote in the other room. Muggy was on with Hanley at the time and Murph was just strolling in. Bumped into him in the hallway. I nodded, he never responded. He had this Mardi Gras colored busted up Sports Illustrated bag with "MURPHY" on it.

every time a caller phones in with something remotely funny or a pathetic attempt at humor, he plays that stupid fake laugh drop.

Never liked Murph's opening song. I liked his 'fan talk' show's theme on wls.

Got a laugh that Murph still refers to Gary Woods and Veryzer. I think that is a yearly thing with him. I remember I called way back when and mentioned Veryzer but called him Dick Veryzer. Murph corrected me and joked that maybe you called him Dick but his name was Tom.

It was pretty funny. :D :D :D :D :D

51. "Matt the bat...Murton for certain" He's said this 50 to 100 times an hour the last week or so. It's not funny and it's not clever. STOP.

The next funny or clever thing Murph says will be his first.

even with the Cubs having their best season since 2003, Murph's show is still a complete snorefest. I think it's time we finished off this list of 164 (or more)...

56. "What's your beef Murph? Oh so and so, I thought you'd never ask."

57. Always interrupting George and saying, ".COM" and slapping the table.

58. Having the Duke on who has been terrible the last two seasons. Under .500 the last two, or at least last year.
