Beef Rockmore, he's very worldly.

Who is making fun of you here? (EDIT: OK, maybe the doc...)

I see people making fun of the people who take the time to create and maintain a website with definitions to terms such as "boston pancake..."

Clown boxers like this guy who sits back and tries to think how can I compete with Stu and get the attention of Spaulding today. 8)

You guys are pathetic and I sit back and laugh that none of you can compete with me on any level. Mr.Reson still thinks he's relative to this board after not having a cogent thought since his post about how "Saved by the Bell" was one of the most underrated T.V. shows ever and that he had posters of Screech in his college dorm room. :P

I pretty much think your a douche, STU, but this is a brilliant, unique idea. You're right. This has generated interest and spark. I was driving in the car to a meeting when this broke and I went out of my way to make sure I heard the follow up. Calling out Chicagoans for one reason or another and following it up with a radio interview is entertaining and interesting.

Further, I think your suggestion to extend this beyond sports related figures is also appealing. Beyond Jerry Taft, I would love to hear them rip than interview some of those that are capturing current headlines:

-Drew Peterson
-Mike North
-Blagojevich
-Eddy Curry
-Scott Coy and Darren DeMeio (together so we get both sides of the story)

Mac, STU is right. This would drive ratings, don't you think? We need fresh unique ideas from 2-6 and this is a good one.

See , even though this guys insight is as about as entertaining as a set of blue balls , I got him thinking about my thoughts I posted here on this message board on his way to work . Not his wife's thoughts, or the chick he might be banging on the side at work but my thoughts... HATE ME , LOATH ME, LOVE ME .. I get you fucks thinking and talking. Fuck all these board awards polls and just give them too me :drunken:  :? :) :|

FUCK MJH , Give me my own show. .

I'd like to say reading is a skill STU, but it seems we have a comprehension problem. When I typed "I was driving in the car to a meeting when this broke and I went out of my way to make sure I heard the follow up. ", you thought I was talking about hearing your post in my car?? Ummm. No. I was talking about listening to MJH.

But I shouldn't ruin a good story. You really should have your own show.

Do you think it would make Stu's day if the board was changed to ChicagoStufan.com? Because really, this message board and all that is discussed is really all about him.

We certainly have to talk about him all of the time, especially since he's the only one here capable of posting anything that generates discussion. Look! I'm talking about him right now (damn he's good)!

Yeah, looks like I'm not the only one who thinks Mac is over his head as a writer. From the Sun-Times website:

Why do people seem to care so much about Mac writing a once a week editorial in a Sports Section of a dying paper?

I guess so, rpb. I'm not going to sit here and critique the guy's writing style, or lackthereof. If I wanted to correct bad grammer, I'd go back to school and get a job as a Freshman English teacher. I listen and read to be entertained, and hear somebody else's opinions about the same teams I root for. More days than not, the show succeeds in that department, and so far Mac's collumns have as well.

Frank, isn't that what readers should do? After all, MJH has a 'critics' segment so they should be held to a standard other people without those vehicles have. he speaks of Ball State, he has a column in the NWI paper; he's fair game, right?

Send an email in to Critics then. Making umpteen posts on the board about it is silly, imo. But I digress. Go ahead and do whatever entertains you hosers.

By the lack of guests the North and Jiggets show have produced in it's first week , I beg the question on how long it will take untill they call Mac to appear on it ?

The other question I have is how long will it take for Mac to rip that show after appearing on it ?
