Yeah so this morning I turned on Holmes and Hampton and Larry said he was openly rooting for McNabb because he is black( and he is from Chicago). He asked if that is racist(it is) and they moved on quickly. What does everyone else think, or are they just surprised that this show is still on the air.


Let a white guy like Jurko say he was rooting for Warner because he is white and shit would hit the fan. Double standards suck.

No. There is a double standard and it's Ok that there is in my book. Black people can say they root for black people. White people can't say they root for crackers. It makes sense to me.

Larry knows this and that's why he always drops these race thoughts. Larry loves to drop "race thoughts" every now and then. Race is his favorite topic. It sounds like Larry. Always trying to say something even though he doesn't know what the hell he's trying to say. Typical of a simpleton.

I also don't think Pappy's Crappy is too far off. Larry was called a "simpleton" in the paper and he wanted to come out today and drop a big word into some sophisticated race talk. So he looked up the word "xenophobe". I doubt it was a sophisticated conversation. Based on how Chris described it, Hampton didn't take the race bait anyway.

Actually, that was one of my suggestions for Larry in Webber's "Help us fix this shit" thread: Race talk with Larry and Hamp. Larry tried but Hamp wasn't gonna go there. So Larry does listen to us.

That's a good point. Rush got ripped for that. Maybe Larry ripped him too. I don't know.

Well, Larry is one of those guys that is "desirous that a black QB do well".

The only thing is Rush said it of "all the media". Not just black people. Which should have made it less offensive. But he was fired anyway.

I'm actually totally different than Larry. I take great joy in rooting against white athletes. What kind of "phobe" does that make me?

It's racist and I'm not surprised because the Score is so mediocre there's nothing better (or worse) than this garbage.

He also tries to say "people are afraid to talk about race" or "we need a discussion about race". Why not try joining the never-ending discussion we already have going on about race. That's all we do is talk about race!
