Can anyone tell me what is up with all these shoe companies putting freaking plastic on their basketball shoes? I just picked up a new pair (which I am breaking in over the next few weeks and not busting out for you guys lol) and they are the Wades which don't have any of the plastic but I must have looked at 60% of the other shoes have some sort of plastic on the toes. Is this like my italian family having plastic on the couch?

a funny story (or not). We get together every year for christmas with my grandparents. One year one of my cousins wet the bed (he might have been 3) Every year after that, up until he got married, my grandmother would pick a bed out and put plastic underneath the sheets, then instruct that cousin to sleep in that bed. Grandma was/is so hard of hearing that we never could get it explained that my cousin was now 24, 25, etc...

Catch a train to Hiawatha? Probably not easily since you'd have to take the Blue Line to Cumberland and then take a bus south on Cumberland to Addison. Shoeless Joes is easier for someone to drop you off at the Blue Line (it's probably 2 minutes)
