I dont necisarily think the Peavy trade is as dead as everyone seems to think it is. We recieved Olsen back for Felix Pie how amazing of a prospect could he have been. And even the trade is dead I would imagine the Cubs would be likely to bring in some random 5 starter type....Looper or Wolf to compete for the starting gig against Marshall. Without stretching Smardzija's arm out it would be a bad idea to try to rush him into the starting role with the big club. I imagine he will stay in the pen. Either way I have faith in Lou to make the right decisions concerning the rotation.
