David West?
Shaq?

You have to be kidding me...what a joke

I don't believe team record should play that significant of a role here. This isn't the MVP award. It's a showcase of the best players, period. Granted you could make the argument that it's "for the fans" and most casual NBA fans would likely rather see Shaq than Big Al, but fucking David West??? Jefferson's stats are better in almost every single category except FT%. West has Chris Paul setting him up while Jefferson has to routinely battle double teams. Shaq is having a pretty good half, but he also takes a lot of games off. He's played 7 less games than Jefferson and often doesn't play the 2nd game of a back to back.

Plus, I thought Mo Williams should have made it over Jameer Nelson.

There are some notable omissions from the NBA All-Star Roster announced yesterday. Even though he'll be in the Rookie/Sophomore game Friday, February 13th in Phoenix, I think the Bulls' Derrick Rose, despite the team's bad record, should've been picked. The Nets' Devin Harris & the Pacers' Danny Granger? Their teams aren't much better than the Bulls, but they made the East team. The Celtics' Ray Allen didn't get picked either, even though his teammate Paul Pierce did. Boston's Kevin Garnett will start the game, along with the Magic's Dwight Howard, the Pistons' Allen Iverson & the Heat's Dwyane Wade February 15th on TNT & ESPN Radio. Out West, the Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony, despite a tiny fracture in a bone of his right hand, didn't get the call. Chauncey Billups did get picked as a reserve from Denver however... Neither did the Suns' Steve Nash & the Jazz' Deron Williams.
