This morning, while talking Hawks v. Edmonton, North compared the Oilers to the Bulls. He said, "People says what happened to da bulls? I says 'Jordan retired'. What has Edmonton done since Gretzky left?" Hmmmm...Well, they WON the fucking Stanley Cup in 1990, and took Carolina to a 7th game in the '96 Finals dumb ass. I'm no where near the hockey maven that guys like Slappy, Stink, or Puckhead are, but even I knew this. Every time North opens his mouth, he pukes up some more stupdity. Not to let Jiggs off the hook, his answer to Mike's querie was, "Not much, my friend."

BTW, Jen looked like she was wearing a friggin straight jacket this morning.

Even with Pappy messing up stuff like... oh.... the Oilers were in game 7 of the finals.... 3 SEASONS AGO...... I'm not sure it tops Murph on my drive home today, talking about the Hawks on "the circus trip" and spending most of the segment obsessing about some place called Bostons Pizza.

In an unprecedented move, former Oiler captain Mark Messier is seen carrying the 1990 Stanley Cup back to NHL headquarters on Wednesday and returning it to the league. Said Messier, "If Mike North, the greatest and most knowledgeable sports talk host in North America, if not the world, says we accomplished nothing after Wayne Gretzky left, then it must be true. We were obviously presented this cup by mistake and wish to apologize to the NHL for accepting it. On behalf of the Oiler organization, thanks to Mike North for setting the record straight, as he always does." The league will now consult Mr. North as to whom the 1990 Cup should be properly presented.
