With the PECOTAs coming out and predicting the Sox at 74 wins and 5th place, I was reminded of how much Sox fans hate Baseball Prospectus and its craaazy predictions and algo-thingies. 2005 NEVER FORGET and all that. It's unique among fanbases. So where do spreadsheets and data rank among the foes of the Sox? As an outside observer, I need clarification.

Rank:
The Chicago Cubs
People who like the Chicago Cubs
Microsoft Excel
Jay Mariotti
Meth lab busts
John McDonough
Critics of Jerry Reinsdorf
The Chicago Tribune (CUBune)

Did I leave any big ones off? Thanks for the help

I don't think "critics of Jerry Reinsdorf" belongs on that list. Most White Sox fans hate Reinsdorf. He is Jewish after all.

i am a sworn enemy of any fan that considers his teams fan base a "nation". talk about played out ESPN babble. Red Sox Nation. White Sox Nation, Cubs Nation, Cardinals Nation, fans of all of these "nations" need to get over themselves. That, along with "first letter first name, first syllable last name" nicknames are 2 cliches that need to die already.

K.C. Royals, you're on the list.

K.C. and the Sunshine Band, you're safe. For now.

I'd put "People Who Like the Chicago Cubs" well above the actual team, the Chicago Cubs. I enjoy watching Cubs games, and I enjoy Len + Bob on the call. What I've rarely enjoyed in my relatively short time on this earth are roughly 90% of the Cubs fans I've encountered. I don't consciously use it as a prejudicial crutch, but it's kind of like whether or not someone's down with David Lynch or Fleetwood Mac, there exists a great divide between you and I depending on your answer.

Also, I'm down with PECOTA and am currently pushing for the Royals to finish 2nd in the AL C.

Chris Ronji. I'm told the Ranger took a beating after a couple of Sox losses last week.

I like the cut of Brenly's multiple jibs on Cub broadcasts.
