I watched most of the show today and I just don’t get it. One second they are talking super bowl, the next thing you know Mike is wanting to talk about some stagehand that thinks Mike is the best.
Doing Webio recaps was one thing, but having to recap a show and actually look at this ass-faced idiot is a totally another thing, its virtually impossible. He isn’t funny, when he tries to be, it’s embarrassing, then he knows this show is a huge failure and reverts back to what might have been funny 10 years ago, he is so lost right now, I don’t even think he knows how lost he is.
If Comcast was running this show, Jen would have been fired by now, by insisting to include her in anything on the air is just bad and every time she talks, it is crystal clear she also is way over her head. If she did the weather and traffic updates t0pless, that wouldn’t even save her job, she peaked as Mike’s personal tag along, time to lose the jen-jen. She also can’t book a guest, anyone national has come on to plug something, and a chimp could book these guests. Plus Mike said on his Webio show that Shaq would be on in the first two weeks, haven’t seen him, it appears the rolodex lost all its “S” numbers I guess.
There is nothing different on this show then what the old MNMS and Webio had, jagbag, kudos of the day, NDHS talk and the same stupid and lame stories that we have heard over the years. These two bits have no effort whatsoever put into it and at least twice, kudos have been handed out to NDHS and Rosemont, its sad.
Where are the million dollar advertisers? Still the same ones from the first day, is Mike trying to say that between, NDHS, Rosemont and First Step that they are paying out $800,000? This is the problem, Mike is a good liar, he thinks that’s translates into being a businessman, that’s just going to make him lose money in the end, keep the fantasy advertisers up pappy, see how that goes with people you deal with. Plus, maybe he can share why Schlitz left him in the dust, from what I understand, broken promises and pappy crap ruined that relationship.
This show was bad for the first week, the first two days of the 2nd week, there was some promise for it, then Pappy went right back to his old ways, the ways that cost him his job at the score, the ways that made him unable to win more then 3 books over his last 5 years at the score, the ways that made him a untrusting boob, but I guess the world needs those too. Now he is leading the charge to get Norm Van Lier and Ditkas numbers retired, nothing like trying to do something 3 times before it takes, but I suspect that this will fade away like those big paychecks Mike use get. This is desperation time for Pappy and he is only 4 weeks in, like I said, predictable.
In 4 weeks, pappy has proved a few things, one is that he lacks any type of creative skill, the only way he can get a gig is to risk his money and that he doesn’t give a crap if he fails because he will always have someone to blame. Give this train-wreck another month of bad shows, jigs will be gone and Jen will getting more air time then she could ever imagine, then the real bad will start, pappy is predictable and his little comments are setting the path for this show to be his biggest money loser yet, but at least he did it his way
