According to SI.com, Bulls trade Thabo to OKC for 2009 1st round pick.

I thought by the title that the Bulls had finally traded Scottie Pippen to The Original Kid Cairo.

Dammit - stole my thunder - Wow, that'd be nice if that's what we got for Thabo - Now we can make another mistake just like him!

This appears to be another lottery pick, Bulls' fans...If John Paxson is still the General Manager, DON'T SCREW THIS UP!!! The Bulls hit the jackpot with Derrick Rose, and finally got a top pick right!

This will not be a lottery pick from what I can tell:

From CNNSI:

Chicago is dealing Thabo Sefolosha to Oklahoma City for a 2009 first-round pick, a league source said. The Thunder own the first-round picks of the Suns and Nuggets, and will send the least valuable pick to Chicago in exchange for Sefolosha.

No, they have 3 picks and they'll get the worst one, the Denver or Phoenix one. And why the fuck do they have a Phoenix first rounder, the trade for Kurt Thomas?

Even though it's not a lottery pick, I have no problem with the trade.

I could never be that fortunate.

I stand corrected... Still, when Thabo threw that inbounds pass to Dwyane Wade last Thursday night in that heartbreaking loss to the Heat before the All-Star Break & got dunked on by Shawn Marion, his name was mud as far as Bulls' fans were concerned. I wonder if the Bulls will finally retire Norm Van Lier's #2 now that Thabo has been dealt... :?

I never really minded Thabo....but I cant say im going to lose any sleep to see him gone. My big problem with this whole shakeup is Noah is still on the team.

Phil, I'm not exactly going to lose any sleep that Thabo Sefolosha, Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Andres Nocioni, Michael Ruffin & Cedric Simmons are all gone. This Bulls team was terribly uneven to begin with.

Thabo was the 13th pick, Bulls will probably get pick 16-20. It's basically a do-over for Pax.

Yeah just what we need, the 2009 version of Mark Madsen.

My reaction to at that comment. Nas, as a true basketball fan I can appreciate him when it comes to college basketball, but I sincerely doubt he'll be in the NBA for 10 years. Im not at all convinced he'll even have as good a career as Luke Walton.

As long as he has a better career than John-Boy and Jim-Bob.

Hansborough a 12 and 10 guy? He will be buried so far on the bench he will be lucky to get 12 and 10 over the course of a month.

If only the Bulls could have traded for Adam Morrison.

The same could have been said about Adam Morrison.

I dont know, I think this has "Michael Beasley will be dominant his rookie year and could play Center" and "Rex Grossman will win the Super Bowl" written all over it.

Completely agree. Nas has been way off before, and this is another example of that.

Everybody on this board has incorrectly assessed talent at one point or another. Nas may have been wrong about Beasley, but he was right about Brandon Roy when nobody else around here was talking about him.

You were celebrating the great potential of the Bulls only a few short months ago. A little over a half season passes and you want the whole team traded. Think you might have been a little off on your analysis, too?
