Oh YEAH! Cirque de Bradley is off to a solid start with his debut with the team today...

Chicago Tribune wrote:
"I had a tight quad," he replied.

How did it happen?

"When you work out hard, you get tight," he said.

Asked if it happened during the game, Bradley finally smiled and said: "I didn't do too much in the game. I felt it before, warming up. So I just let them know it felt tighter than it should've been. We've got a quarter-season worth of games in spring training, so I thought the best course of action was to let them know right now."
"Spring is spring," he said. "I had like five at-bats last spring and hit .320 (during the season). Spring is overrated... I'm gonna hit. That's not a concern."

http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports_hardball/2009/02/bradley-leaves-with-leg-injury-in-cubs-debut.html

Ok, personally I'm getting the impression that Bradley might be one of those too good for spring training guys and doesn't want to play right now. The article goes on to say he worked out after the game.
On the other hand he might be injured. Word 'round the campfire is that this guy is hurt once in a while.
I'm actually hoping it's a legit "injury". I'd rather have that than have the guy play up bullshit so he doesn't do anything he doesn't feel like doing.

Won't be long before The Sun Times breaks out a makeshift Operation game with Milton Bradley's body.

I think its a little too early to be drawing any conclusions. I hope it is not a sign of things to come...but they are playing almost FORTY spring games...& this was only game two.

The quote about how he's gonna hit without the spring training games.... i don't like that at all. He's way too cocky. And he thinks spring isn't important, he's just instantly going to have his timing down and be ready to go? Bad signs early.

cocky or confident? He should have plenty of time to get in his AB's....I just hope he...or his story / coverage of him does not turn into a Cirque de Bradley as your title alludes to. This type of story coming out on game 2 of spring games does not give me a warm & fuzzy though

I could care less if the guy plays 3 games, calls every fan a racist mother fucker and throws the ball at a bleacher bum and kills him.

Get some big hits in the playoffs and lead us to a World Series and Milton Bradley for Mayor!

I found this little gem on the Cubs MB. I thought it was humorous enough to be imported to the high hallowed halls of comedy and wit called CSFMB for judgement.

WZ, Dr. Noisewater, and the rest of us comedy peons, your verdicts?

Everyone may I have your attention please!!!! Please relax, pull your collective throttles back before this MB blows up like a DYNOMITE SHACK.

There will be no OPERATION, Milton Bradley is resting queitly. To ausage the RISK of injury, Milton Bradley has a nice towel wrapped around his quad. L. Rothschild is overseeing the procedure.

Milton Bradley is day-to-day,,, said he felt a slight burning sensation, like a slight TWISTER in his leg. This is not uncommon for players to stain muscles in ST, and Milton Bradley certainly doesn't have a MONOPOLY on muscle strains.

Sure, he went to the trouble to connect four, maybe more, games in his little joke. But, I say if you do it his way, you don't break the ice on the knockout comedy that is available. As DA COATCH said, in the game of life, gang, don't always go for the easy money and, in a similar vein, don't always go for the easy jokes. It just leads to a headache and that is your downfall. You'll end up like a battleship landing, kerplunk, on the ocean floor while you drive us all bonkers in your quest for perfection. Don't try to be too clever, trying to build that proverbial better mouse trap, that's the key.

Now excuse me, I have to mediate a little family feud we are having about who will feed our new pets. They sure are some hungry, hungry hippos.

I am shocked at the news of this injury. Everybody always says what a stable and hard working individual Bradley is. Hendry brought him in cause he wanted a lefty bat and wanted to shake up the team chemistry. Got to take the good and the bad this isnt such a big deal.

Keyser, no offense intended. I missed that. Mea culpa.
WZ, you are correct sir.
Dr. Noisewater picked a far more subtle line to follow. Well played.

Great. So soon all the umpires will hate Bradley.
I want to like this guy, but so far, too not playey and too talkey.
