This show is really a difficult listen. Weird that they are still using the name "Afternoon Saloon" too. How original.
Show reminds me of when Redd Foxx disappeared(contract problems) from Sanford and Son for a bunch of episodes. Fans were treated to Fred Sanford's friend, Grady, as a temporary replacement. Awful.

Yes and no. He will say certain things like that just to get a rise out of listeners, and/or Carm, Harry (and Mac in the past). He'll say it with conviction, but I highly doubt he believes it.

The worst was the Duke cousins.

I watch the reruns sometimes. The sexual tension between Chrissy and Jack was amazing. He's always groping and kissing her. I'm pretty sure it wasn't in the script. I'm also sure Chrissy never complained.

It really was a great show. The entire concept was stupid but it made you laugh. The early years revolved around them struggling to pay the rent.

They brought in some pretty hot girlfriends for Jack. For such a poor guy he always got the girls. I guess it was his sense of humor, Spaulding.

I'll break it down as to the Brady Bunch when the show was getting old and stale , and the Brady kids were getting old and out dated and the episodes were getting bad and they brought in the little douchebag Oliver as a Brady kid to give the show a shot in the arm and a bit of youth and it was just aweful bad.

Harry is Alice and Jurko is Sam the butcher and Carm is Oliver. All 3 irrelavent cast members who brought nothing to the show.

I'm like the Secretary of Homeland Security. I'll get my shot after everyone has been fired and there's no one left.

It was "Bewitched", but anyway. I relate the show now to Happy Days when Ritchie and
Ralph Malph left the show, and Ted McGinley came in. So I guess in my world, Mac equalled
Ritchie and Ralph Malph combined, yet Mac took on the role of "The Fonz" for teh Afternoon Saloon, ironic. Speaking of which, how did the Fonz scare people back then. Aside from have the wherewithall to bring a hairdryer in his car for the Demolision Derby to blow the flour back in the Malachi Brothers face, what did this guy bring to the table that was so intimidating? Why would he want his office in the bathroom also? Why not just take over the best booth in the house? Right next to the juke box. I sure in greasy burger joint, Fonzi's "office" was not a pleasant place to be.

I have to disagree with you there. I think the Grady episodes were pretty funny. Whitman Mayo was underrated in my opinion. Of course the Grady shows weren't as good as the Redd Foxx shows, but still, they weren't too bad.
