They just had Harry on from his house. He's got blood on the brain. He's on medication. Can't drive for a week. Typical comments from Harry.

Harry - I'm bored. There is nothing to do here.

Carm - Aren't you with your wife and kids?

Harry - Oh yeah.

I can't believe that the track just happened to have a pink silk laying around in size XXXXXXXXXXXXXL.

LOL...

Harry's 'good friend' Carol Slezak has a feature piece on their 'radio stunt' in today's Sun Times. FULL Page feature piece.

Jurko is about 5" tall in his pink racing silks.

I understand they had to refill the 'magenta' ink midway through the web printing process.

Love the non-apology apology from Harry T. What an ass. He's blaming the station, the race track, the Carey's etc for putting on the stunt, then says after turning them down numerous times, he relents, out of "love for his station". Which in turn throws Carmen under the bus, because it stated he wouldn't do it. It happened because he's an unathletic, out of shape theatre major who happens to have an interest in sports because his daddy had cash. The fact that he's the one lover of going to track consistently, and he falls is priceless.

This story has so much irony and hilarity to it, I crack up just thinking about it. Glad he wasn't seriously hurt, but it couldn't happen to a better dork. Also, love the fact he signed a waiver, even if he did sue, it would be in the courts for years, what's bad for us, the listener now, is that it will put thoughts of his getting canned on hold for now.

Last week PETA was going after Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, for the use of poles with electric charges on the tip. Now, I fully expect an investigation into the abuse of the swayback (have to be now) nags, that Harry and Jurko abused. No wonder the gluestick wanted to get the "tiny one" off his back. It's used to a rider less than half his weight. This stunt looks to be followed by others now, as Jurko and Carmen have already consented to skydiving. Anything (but good radio) for attention, I guess. Actually, I have found myself tuning back in, as B&B just irritate me too much and when I tuned into the saloon after Norm died, I guess it gave me pause to reconsider the switch I had made.

Sarge, I think you might be right about this accident, delaying any changes with reguards to on-air personalities. Harry might have signed a waiver, but he can claim that it was signed under duress and that he feared that his job was on shaky ground and he felt he had to go along with the stunt, as his declining to partake in it, was not accepted and he was pressured into participation. He may well cash in on this, if there are any long term problems.
