Waddle and Silvy haven't been around that long, but man alive, they've hit their stride.

Last week, they were the first sportsradio station OR media outlet to discuss the Pat Kirwin Sirius/XM radio show's discussion about Jerry Angelo indicating the Bears were 'cheap'.

...and then they got Cedric Benson on the blower, and both newspapers basically wrote articles ABOUT their radio interview.

Congrats guys - and keep up the great work.

Rumor has it that Merkin has some connections in the baseball world, so I expect the sky's the limit.

I just hope Silvy remembers that I was in the ALS originally. Well Woodridge Ryan was first during the SIlvy and Carm Save the Music Saturdays, but ever since Mariotti and Silvy I've been a big fan.

I agree. IMO, this is by far the best listen at the moment.

Great show and well deserved additional hour. Big kudos to the guys behind the glass. Merkin is obviously well connected is pulls in guests that mirror the 2 national shows on at the same time (Cowherd and Patrick)...sometimes even getting the same people first. Billy Z is very creative on the board and also appreciate Dolgin's wit during updates.

I'll have to give it another try. I've been listening to Mancow and Cassidy after Mully and Hanley.

It was always a tough listen for me. Sounded a little too forced, like they each had their schtick they would stick to.

I like that they watch and and think about the Chicago teams even if they don't care about them. I think Silvy is fan that has a genuine interest and would watch them anyway. Waddle doesn't but he knows enough to have opinions and keep the show going. It comes very naturally for Silvy but Waddle has to work at it and I appreciate that he does. I like this show almost as much as Carmen and Silvy.

I love that most of their show is sports related.

I give Waddle credit for being honest about his love for the Reds, but still giving decent analysis for both the Cubs and the Sox.

That's what I was thinking of. I also don't see him being a basketball guy but he does okay with the Bulls.

I know...I know...but I've never heard Mancow before this show on 'LS. Cassidy seems genuine to me and if that's Mancow's "shtick", it's convincing. He's really passionate about it.

According to TJ Houshmandzadeh, Waddle doesn't.

I don't know. I don't think W & S can hold a candle next to the Feelhouse and Boner show.

I appreciate that they will talk about any sport that might be in the news and don't limit themselves.

Hell, they even threw down a segment on NASCAR after Daytona for the toothless shine drinkers out there.

Mmmm...Kenilworthian Shine....

And these guys know how to mix it up enough with sports/non-sports silliness to keep a show going. Sure, each of them have a team or two they follow closely (Silvy is obviously a die-hard Cubs fan) but unlike other radio personalities, they don't force their team into discussions just because they haven't been mentioned in 10 minutes.

Murph's days are numbered if Silvy and Waddle keep it up.

Good web pool today but they are missing the Master's Tournament theme song. I want this song playing on repeat at my visitation when i die. It's so soothing and if Jim Nanz can be on the mic and drop this line onto my onlookers every 20 minutes or so.

I think you guys were just looking for some to lick the ass of after Mac left and this was the next closest thing to the boredom that plauged MJH. I turned it on occasionally, but found them just to be pretty annoying. Sorry, but just my honest opinion.

The best show in Chicago gets Jim Boeheim after the six overtime thriller that ran into the wee hours.

Top notch fellas. Keep it up.

Silvy and Waddle will continue to rise with the Sox doing these boring ass Spring training games on WSCR for the next month.

This time of the year just drives me away from WSCR totally.

Bigfan, "Waddle & Silvy" are on a roll these days. "Rant & Rave" during the Corey McPherrin show, a.k.a. "The Final Word" Sunday nights on FOX 32, and now on 9a-1p on ESPN Radio 1000 weekdays. I'll be interested to hear if Tom & Marc's audience will be cut into Thursday & Friday when "The SCORE" tips off some 12 hours each day of continuous Westwood One coverage of the NCAA Tournament...
