The dumb fucks on ESPN radio are stirring the pot with a bears trade for Cutler. I don't see this being possible, unless the Bears throw in Urlacher, which is fine with me. Anyone see any type of trade happening? This would force the Broncos to go find a new franchise QB.

I really want to know why Denver has soured on him so much.

I'd rather have Cutler over Cassel.

It would be a good trade for the Bears.

If you can get Cutler, you do it. But I do not understand why Denver is wanting to get rid of him.

Give them anything they want.

He would be better than any single player on the Bears with the possible exception of Lance Briggs.

Well, I personally don't think so, but I didn't want him coming after me on the expressway.

I really want to know why the Broncos don't want him any more.

I'm thinking there may be more to Jay Cutler than is known.

I'd still take him right now even for a first round pick assuming he's not a serial killer.

Seems to me that McDaniels just got a little overexcited about the possibility of reuniting with his buddy and didn't consider how Cutler would feel about it if it fell through.

Denver's not going to get rid of him. They will calm Cutler down and all will be forgiven.

If Jay Cutler is truly available, Jerry Angelo should be interested.

Should be interested, but don't have anything the Broncos would want.

Depends on what they are looking for, if they are still talking about trading him.

Perhaps it is a concern, and you are correct, but it doesn't seem to have impacted his play in Denver.

Maybe he is unhappy with the coaching change and I think this talk of trading has pissed him off. Talent wise he is good and could be a franchise qb but he has a reputation for being a whiner. I see the talent but I'm leery of him. There is something about him I'm not sold on.

If Peyton Manning wanted to come here and we had a decent offensive line I'd buy and orange and blue #18 jersey. I might try to pass it off as a Mike Tzak jersey though.

Looked around, here is what I found. Espn could be blowing this out of proportion. They do that from time to time.

Source: Spurned Cutler wants to be traded
February 28, 2009 7:30 PM

Posted by ESPN.com's Bill Williamson

The Denver Broncos may have seriously damaged their relationship with quarterback Jay Cutler.

A source close to the situation confirmed the Broncos were trying to acquire quarterback Matt Cassel from the New England Patriots by dangling Cutler, their Pro Bowl quarterback.

The trade talk infuriated Cutler, who now wants to leave the Broncos.

The source said the proposed trade was a three-way deal that would have sent Cassel to Denver to reunite with former Patriots offensive coordinator and new Denver head coach Josh McDaniels, Cutler to Tampa Bay and compensation from Tampa Bay to New England.

Cassel and linebacker Mike Vrabel were traded Saturday to Denver's AFC West rival Kansas City for a second-round pick.

A source close to the situation told ESPN.com that the Broncos pursued the trade because McDaniels wanted to be reunited with Cassel, who excelled under McDaniels last season as an injury replacement for Tom Brady.

In the aftermath of the trade Saturday, Cutler asked permission to find his own trade partner but was denied by the Broncos, according to the source. Cutler is still hopeful he will be traded because he feels betrayed by McDaniels, the source said.

The source said Denver is no longer interested in dealing Cutler, who made the Pro Bowl in 2008, his second full season as a starter. The source said Tampa Bay, Detroit and Chicago could be possible destinations if Cutler gets his way and is traded. The source pointed out that until Cutler heard about the trade talks Saturday, he was completely happy playing for McDaniels and being in Denver.

It may be difficult for Denver to trade Cutler now because there are no other quality quarterbacks available. It would be silly to trade him to the Lions for the No. 1 overall pick and try to draft Georgia's Matthew Stafford or USC's Mark Sanchez. Neither of those players is a known commodity, while Cutler has blossomed into one of the NFL's better quarterbacks.

Denver has to regain Cutler's trust immediately or this could turn into one of the NFL's uglier situations.

The source said that while Denver hopes to smooth the situation over, Cutler probably will seek to depart Denver as a restricted free agent in two years. Cutler signed a six-year deal with the Broncos after he was drafted with the No. 11 overall pick in 2006.

The source said Cutler was hurt by the news that McDaniels wanted to start his Denver tenure with Cassel and not him.

"The relationship has been tarnished," the source said. "I think it's beyond repair."

Cutler expressed displeasure when Denver fired coach Mike Shanahan in December. However, he has been publicly supportive of McDaniels and had several good meetings with the coach in the weeks since McDaniels took over. The source said Cutler was confused by the trade talk.

"It's like a knife to Jay's heart," the source said. "It will be hard for him to get past this."

McDaniels will be able to get past this issue, but it may take some time. The Broncos sold McDaniels' hiring as a chance for Cutler to flourish. Seven weeks later, the pairing has taken a sudden and potentially disastrous turn.

I'd give up Urlacher, a first and a third

Cutler drawing interest from Vikes?

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that talks between the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos continued on Monday, and the topic of these talks was a potential trade for quarterback Jay Cutler.

Cutler would be a huge upgrade over any of the players that are slated to compete for the Vikings' starting job and according to the paper, the Vikings first asked about Cutler at the NFL combine in February. In the time since, Minnesota traded a fourth round draft pick to the Houston Texans for Sage Rosenfels. Asked at the press conference to introduce Rosenfels whether the team would also acquire an elite quarterback this offseason, coach Brad Childress told the Star Tribune, "Don't know, I'm not clairvoyant."

A trade for Cutler would not be cheap for Minnesota. For starters, the Vikings would likely have to part ways with this year's first-round draft pick (No. 22 overall), and then supplement that pick with other draft picks or veterans. Denver is also likely seeking some semblance of a quarterback in return, seeing as Cutler's 2008 backup, Patrick Ramsey, is currently an unrestricted free agent.

I don't see the Bears pulling the trigger on any rumored Jay Cutler trade with the Denver Broncos. He can bitch & moan all he wants...Cutler's going nowhere and that's that!

Denver Nuggets' TV analyst Scott Hastings dropped dime on "The Dan Patrick Show" earlier today. The interview, currently on demand at 670thescore.com & at DanPatrick.com, features Hastings calling the Broncos' QB an "arrogant little punk" & a "little bitch" in quite a tirade. Tell us how you really feel!

Cutler is now telling everyone he will be traded before the draft. Jerry really needs to try his hardest and make this happen for the Bears. He has gone from saying QB is a priority to he is happy with what he has, so I guess he is happy with being a .500 team, in a bad division.

Here's a twist. One of the options Denver is looking at with the trade of Cutler is signing Grossman. Maybe Rex's biggest contribution to the Bears would be signing with the Broncos to facilitate the trade.

Rex Grossman is an unrestricted free agent, good people. Correct me if I'm wrong, the Broncos just signed who they thought was a backup quarterback in Chris Simms...

McDaniels is a ball control freak who would prefer the short dinks and dunks of a Matt Cassel over the chance taking of a Jay Cutler. Nothing more, nothing less.

Does anyone really legitimately see Angelo making such a move?

I would LOVE to have Cutler, but I am not getting my hopes up. I fully expect Orton to be the starting QB next fall.

He would do it depending upon the price. I don't know the price, and I don't know that the rumors are real.
