They'll be able to know the exact number unlike regular radio. So will the advertisers, one would think. Unless North lies about the total. I wouldn't put that past him although that would be fraud.

I wonder how many people listen to the Score and ESPN on the internet. I wonder what each show does. Anybody know? Maybe one of you guys could ask somebody in the business. Maybe we can ask one of the Score/ESPN guys that come on this board. I guess I just did.

For example, let's say they have 1,000 people listening to a show. I'd be amazed if any show got that many listeners, but that wouldn't be enough to generate big advertising dollars. No way. I would think you'd need, at least, 10,000 listeners to get any sort of significant advertising money.

I was thinking of that. Kind of like what Big Fan does here. We always know how many people are on the board.

That would be suicide for webio. No way they'd do that. Nothing worse than your advertisers seeing 500 people are listening.

First of all, there's the tiny little issue of advertising budgets which have generally been cut by 25 to 60 percent - if they haven't been eliminated entirely. Radio is in terrible terrible financial shape, and these bozos believe that they can make this work by signing up all the members of the Mike North Ass Kissing Society as sponsors. Good luck. In a city the size of Chicago, an advertiser needs what's called "reach". If 500 people listen to this regularly, I'd be shocked. And a reach that small in a market of about 8.5 million is a recipe for failure. The business model makes no sense, especially in light of the fact that a "station" like this is unneccesary. Not to mention the fact that the talent is garbage.

Noth and fraud go hand in hand. I recall a post saying the now failed Dotfame site kept billing a subscriber after he made many attempts to cancel. North has been nothing but a fraud for years now.

Here is the thing, North is acting like he and his buddies came up with the webio idea, he didnt, there are 25,000 (rock even posted this) webio stations right now and radio is still kicking their ass.....North isnt going to change that, does he honestly think people will follow the likes of Jesse, Ofman and Coppock?? Lets not forget one thing also, North spouted off how he had so many radio offers and he would be back on the air in no-time, instead, he has to spend his own money to just get noticed.

And that is why it make me laugh when someone quotes north comment about "the wright brothers didnt care how many passengers they had" comment, he nor any of his pals had nothing to do with the creation of webio. Anyone who has made this move has made a huge mistake in my opinion, but Hood would be worth tuning into, but like I said, who cares if Jesse or Ofman are there, it doesnt matter and signing these guys on, it isnt making a splash.

does the $2 million hernandez says that he has invested in this hot garbage include all the billboards, news ad, web ads to promote the site? this is north's best sale yet. and after the intial hype wears off and all the free pub is gone and all the people have sampled the site and decided not to return, what will mike say is the reason this concept did not work? here is his answer----"If we had the internets in cars, we would have taken off, thats why my lifelong dream is stalled"
