Like your Cubs and Tigers play, and possibly the Mets.

The Cubs are now -165 to win the NL Central. I certainly thought the number would go the other way. The Cubs are always a public team anyway, and that division is awful. Can anyone make a case for another team to win this division? The rest of the odds are:

Cincy +800
Houston +2000
Milwaukee +400
Pitt +2500
St. Louis +615

adding:

Cubs -165 to win NL Central (3.3 units to win 2)

Futures bets as of today

Cubs -176 to win the NL Central (12.3 units to win 7)
Tigers +350 to win the AL Central (0.6 units to win 2.1)
Athletics +275 to win the AL West (1 unit to win 2.75)
Mets +120 to win the NL East (1 unit to win 1.2)
Braves +425 to win the NL East (0.4 units to win 1.7)
Dodgers +210 to win the NL West (1 unit to win 2.1)

I'm really trying to find some way the Cards win the division, but I'm not seeing it...

Terrorist attack during a home game at Wrigley would change those odds quickly.

5Dimes has the Cubs at -160. Thinking of putting some cash on that, once my Bulls under 40.5 wins comes through.

St Louis won 86 games last season and got only 23 starts from Carpenter and Wainwright. If those two are able to make 60 starts between them St Louis can win the division. They also upgraded SS with Khalil Greene and if Schumacher can play an adequate 2B that would open CF for Rasmus who is a huge upgrade over Adam Kennedy. Given those odds I'd be all over St Louis.

Tigers have better odds to win the Central? Ponderous. Tigers will finish last in the division.

That Dodger bet looks like easy money.

Too bad you put so much on the Cubs.

Bet with your head, not your heart.

You're home with Toronto and Milwaukee (good work) but Cincy can still push if they win out.
