Why does Ozzie have Alexei batting so far down in the order?

The only thing I could figure are RBI opportunities for #10 in White Sox silver & black, RFDC. There is a chance that Alexei may lead off vs. tough lefties according to Ozzie, with Chris Getz possibly taking over vs. righties sooner rather than later. DeWayne Wise is not long for the leadoff spot.

Nice play by Fields. I hope he can make less than 20 errors this year. Not counting on it though.

Buehrle's location has not been real sharp, but the damage has been minimal and the likes of Getz & Fields have come through defensively. 9 LOB now for the Royals!

Gil Meche is dealing now for Kansas City. He just struck out Joshua Fields, and Wise has the sombrero in his leadoff debut... :(

Fields was a QB. They used to same the same about Borchard too.

I hope Wise gets the Golden Sombrero.

It's hard not to argue when the opposing pitcher, Gil Meche, has put Sominex in the White Sox bats...

So he could be named 2009 leadoff man and starting centerfielder?

Clay Richard's keeping the White Sox in this one with 2 scoreless innings. Now if the Sox offense, starting with Konerko can snap out of their funk...

I wish, Chilli...Wise isn't a true leadoff hitter, and his on-base percentage is awfully low for a #1. Trouble is, Brian Anderson can't hit Major League pitching and Ozzie's very reluctant to give B.A. a shot beyond late inning defense. That's the painful truth.

The Royals have now stranded 10, as Clay Richard & Octavio Dotel have kept the Sox in this one without allowing another run to score.

Then they need to bat Anderson ninth and put Ramirez at the lead off spot because Anderson's glove more than makes up his for his bat. IMO.

Ozzie may have a World Series ring, but he can be awfully stubborn in why certain guys don't get a shot, and Anderson's one of them. Wise, 3 K's today in the leadoff spot, already getting booed by the restless Sox fans...
