Good Dolphin, even though he sucked in the leadoff spot yesterday going 0-for-4 with 3 K's, if DeWayne Wise or Jerry Owens gets waived, they're as good as gone. Some team will claim Wise and/or Owens...

They can have Owens. A couple more showings like Wise had yesterday, and they can take Wise too. Remember last September, Ozzie marched Wise out there to leadoff during that Twins series and iirc, he went 0for with just one walk, and like 6 Ks. There's a reason he is 31 and has played a grand total of about 120 MLB games.

I'll be in section 102 tonite, anyone else going?

As a fact man you should realize that the Sox did waive Owens at the end of spring training, and that no one claimed him ending in Owens accepting an assignment by the Sox to AAA Charlotte for a 4th season.

Greinke and Soria are very good.

You mean the DeWayne Wise Experiment, Chilli? Yeah, but Ozzie's too stubborn to give Brian "I Can't Hit a Lick" Anderson a shot other than late inning defense. I know the Anaheim Angels have a surplus of outfielders and there's a guy named Reggie Willis currently in the minors for them...Why doesn't Kenny Williams talk to the Angels about getting him here? :?

Here is a Kenny special - Pods III

Mar 31 OF Scott Podsednik was reassigned to the Rockies' minor league camp on March 31, as the team decided to keep rookie CF Dexter Fowler on the Opening Day roster. Fowler was hitting .292 with six stolen bases this spring. Podsednik was batting .240 with four steals. Podsednik, who signed a minor league contract, has an April 3 out date in his deal and can ask for his release if he's not on the big-league roster by then.

Sorry, BigFan...I'd rather see photos and/or video of Scott Podsednik's wife, Lisa Dergan, rather than see Scott limp in and out of the White Sox lineup. :(

If Soria was on a better team than the Royals, he'd be in the top 3 closers in baseball.

Hawkeye, you bring up a very valid point about Soria. I believe he was the Royals' lone rep in the All-Star Game last July at old Yankee Stadium. I'd rather have him on the Cubs right now than Kevin Gregg, who sucked as a closer last summer for the Marlins.

Kevin Gregg? They are not even comparable. Soria is damn close to an elite closer, if he is not already there.

Farnsworth sucks, but I like the rest of the Royal bullpen. You could do a lot worse than Soria, Cruz and Mahay.

The DeWayne Wise Lead-Off Experiment didn't last long. He's batting 8th today, while Chris Getz (now wearing #17 not #39, WGN) is leading off in the finale of this first series vs. Kansas City.

I'm glad they weren't stubborn and made this change right away.

Krazy, Ozzie's still stubborn. We've yet to see Brian Anderson in the lineup in center, and probably won't see #32 until possibly the FOX game Saturday afternoon vs. Minnesota. I believe Francisco Liriano is tentatively scheduled to start that one...

But the leadoff change was made. If Wise proves he can't get it done at the plate, I am confident he will be benched. That was supposedly the only thing he had over Anderson. If he isn't hitting, it will be Anderson in the lineup....struggling at the plate but playing a solid center...

Even though the White Sox are trying to be more budget-conscious, there's a guy I mentioned yesterday named Reggie Willis. A couple years ago, he had an on-base percentage of .380 for the Anaheim Angels, and is currently in the minors. That's because they got Torii Hunter & Bobby Abreu now in center & right field respectively. The Angels have a surplus of outfielders...

More importantly, if Getz does well in the leadoff spot, Wise/Anderson won't need to bat leadoff hardly at all.

The final score of this game will be 1-0. Hopefully the Sox come out on top.

They are making the Royals staff look like aces. I know Meche and Greineke are better than average, but Davies?

YAWWWWNNNNNNNN!! A White Stocking game that is more boring than usual.....

Just about 20 innings have passed since the White Stocking notched a run versus the lowly Royal.

Feel free to use it anytime, Franklin. That's what it's there for. At least they broke the scoreless streak.
