As excited as I was to have a RF who could hit, Bobby Abreu was way higher on my list than this terminally injured nutjob. Well at least Reed Mantle will get his chance now

Nutjob who does nothing but run up pitch counts and take walks. As a Sox fan, I'd gladly take Bradley and his oft-injured ass over what we've got going in CF - you should, too.

I would take him over what we have out there. Problem is after a week he seems to be ouchy again.

The groin strain didn't look too serious. Missing a couple games would be no big deal. Everyone knew when he was signed, that he wasn't a guy who you could count on to play every day...he does get hurt. He will get hurt again this season too. You just have to hope the injuries are minor ones that do not last very long. But when he plays, he should help. He hasn't hit yet, but he will and then people will be glad he was signed. I wanted Abreau more, but I think Bradley will do well.

Bradley wouldn't have made that catch that Reed Mantle made up in Milwaukee.

You are right. I think Reed is the Cubs best Center Fielder. Thats why in the 9th inning of EVERY game that they are trying to put away, I would have Reed Johnson in Center, Fukadome in right and Gathright in Left. Not too many flyballs would find the turf in the outfield on that trio. Bradley and Soriano are very good hitters, but they are not paid for their defense. Just as you use your closer in the 9th to protect a lead, so should you ensure that your best defensive players are used to protect that same lead, in the 9th. Reed is an exceptional defender.
