Monday 1:20p WGN
Lilly (1-0 9.00) vs. Ubaldo Jiminez (1-0 0.00)

Wednesday 1:20p CSN 665
Rich Harden (0-0 1.50) vs. Jason Marquis (1-0 2.57)

Interesting to see Marquis pitch Wednesday.
Harden was sharp in his last outing too.

Shut up Frank and go to your section.
At least they are not calling it the day before.

I'm curious to see how Marquis pitches against the Cubs. He did a decent enough job as a 5th starter, if you look at his innings pitched and win totals. But I was happy to see him dealt. Never knew what you might get from him. kinda like Vasquez in that respect.

The Cubs could really use a better performance from Lilly. He was awful last year all through April. Hopefully, he breaks out of it earlier this season. Harden lost out on a win the bullpen gave away in his first start. Hopefully he can get his first win in this start.

The Cubs are going to light Marquis up. The game I am worried about is today. Lilly has looked a little shaky in his first outing. I blame the WBC.

I gotta feeling City of Fools will be making an appearance in this thread soon.

He cannot bitch too much about Soriano so far this year, but he will be here to bitch about Lily. And when can we expect Kenny Lofton in a Cubs uni? 8)

They will call this game after some 80,000 beers are sold! Lets get someone hurt and play.

Looks like they will be able to get this game in. I'm predicting 1st pitch around 3:00.

They are saying on WGN that the game should start shortly after 2:00. But Aramis Ramirez and Milton bradley, as well as Soto, will not play. That makes sense, as if Ramirez should get hurt, they have nobody to take his place on a day in, day out basis. Bradley has the groin strain and Soto has been out a few games already-though they say Soto should be back for game 2 of this series. I'm looking forward to this game being played, but I am glad I'm not sitting in the stands freezing and happy that Lou is being smart with his players. maybe lee can aggravate that hamstring and take a stint on the DL so Hoffpauir can get back in the lineup and supply better production from the position.

His back...nothing serious though. He's being held out to prevent injury. He is not injured now, just a lil sore.

Ramirez reported a stiff back to Lou during the 5th inning yesterday, but wanted to complete the game. Due to the weather, Lou is starting Fontenot at third in Ram's place and Miles is starting at 2nd.

Johnson is starting in center and Fuk's in right.

This is a pretty bad lineup today. If we were resting everyone today, Lou should of sat Lee also.

I think the logic behind it is you want a more solid defender over there with Fontenot playing 3rd cause who knows where his throws will be. My question is why bat Lee cleanup the guy has 2 hits all year and he looks lost at the plate with warning track power.

Ramirez usually sits when theres weather like this. I guess they like to take precautions with his health. Soriano had been sitting a lot in this type of weather too but a lineup without soriano and ramirez and soto and bradley probably wouldnt do much

Huh, I guess Lee got "double" and "double play" confused; a rare failure to execute a double-play.

Can someone explain to me why Miles is swinging at a 3-1 pitch when he isn't a typical run producer and Jimenez is clearly struggling? What's the harm in going 3-2 and then swinging? Grrrrrrrr

I HATE AARON MILES. The fuckin guy grounds into a double play to kill a rally in the game on Friday, Today he gets up with the bases loaded and nobody out and pops up, then comes up with the bases loaded with 2 outs and flies out. I HATE AARON MILES!!!! This guy just turns my mood ring black.

Miles is quickly becoming one of my least favorite Cubs. 6 LOB in 2 ab's today and he is wearing a cardinals hat still in his picture on the internet feed i am watching the game on.

It just isn't smart baseball - today is most likely going to be a low scoring day with the weather and this jag is up there swinging at 3-1 counts with a struggling pitcher. Stupid.

In the old days, the dugout would send the "red light" and the batter
would not swing or get fined. I guess too many ego's in today's game.
