It's a 3 run lead against the Rockies. If he is going to have any hope of being the closer this year he is going to have to be ok with nailing down games like this.

So far, Gregg is a 4-eyed Bobby Howry

Hasn't it been well established by prior Cubs managers that blacks and hispanics don't do as well in the cold, rainy season and that is when whites excel? That is probably the reason he sat today.

Sitting in the bleachers, I'm not sure how well I could judge Lilly's performance yesterday. Was Uncle Ted really dealing or was it a matter of bad Rockies hitting?

Yes.
Throw in some luck as well and you have the recipe for an excellent pitching performance.

This #42 thing really sucks. everyone is #42. I get the reason behind it but in execution it comes off terribly.

He's going to be over his pitch count at the end of the 3rd anyway at this rate, whether he gets out of this or not.

I think Brenly is onto something and Harden may be tipping his pitches somehow.

He has 8 strikeouts already, strange.

Was looking forward to catching the game here in 30 minutes but looks
like I will be watching a lot of middle relief work. Ouch.

Is the Cub and Cardinal series 3 or 4 games?

Len and Bob have said 2 times now that the series begins tomorrow. But the schedule I have looked at shows the Rockies here again tomorrow and the Cards series beginning on Friday.
