Can someone tell me why they still have the rule that you can call a timeout and automatically not have to bring the ball all the way up court? I never understood why a team gets a freebie to inbounds from their half of the court.

Yes! Great game by Rose and Noah and even Thomas, although him hitting those jumpers worries me because he is going to start thinking he is the guy on this team.

Fantastic game!

Rose came up big, Tyrus was fantastic down the streach, and Jokeem was a force.

Cup- I smell an upset

As awesome as this game was - defense was actually played! - it is the exact reason I hate the NBA. The refs are awful. They call ticky tack bullshit (Noah getting all ball TWICE and both times getting whistled) - miss calls (Pierce throwing the ball out of bounds) - and just destroy the flow of the game. Where is the logic in having such a blatant missed call stand when the replay guy can just call the refs over and tell them they blew it and to take another look, ie Pierce throwing the ball out of bounds. Makes you wonder how many other refs are on the take...

To the meatball Bulls' fans . The game was won by Pierce missing the free throw and Tyrus hitting those 12-15 jumpers that you hated him taking all year

Just got home and was getting updates through my phone. When Pierce went to the line with two seconds left did Noah foul him or was it a bullshit call?

Legitimate foul and a dumb one because Pierce had no shot at hitting that basket. He missed a FT though, so all is good.

Some bad officiating in this one(the offensive foul on Rose that was later a blocking foul when Rondo did the same thing with Tyrus, the Salmons "travel" that stopped the play, Pierce clearly losing the ball out of bounds in OT and a couple of blown clean block/goal tending calls), but they overcame it along with lackluster performances from Hinrich, Miller and Salmons.

Rose
Ty Thomas
Noah

Those guys are the reason we won today, and extra shot out to Tyrus for nailing some clutch ass jump shots that I'm sure people didn't want him to take. He won the game in OT for us, so give him his props.

EDIT: Almost forgot your boy, Ben Gordon. He was great in the 4th quarter.

This was a must win game for the Bulls. Very few teams come back to win when they don't get the first one on the road.

gonna be a crazy series. and a lot of fun.

like i said, i hope the bulls do win. i think it'll go seven and i do think the celtics will take the series, cos i think they'll wake up...then again i thought they'd wake up in the fourth quarter and pierce misses that last free throw to send it into overtime.

Not many rookies in their first playoff game have had that good of a game.
