I think we'll have to wait until after the draft to see how well things worked out for him. I've heard reports on ESPN and the NFL network saying Denver wants Sanchez very badly.

Would that not scare you as a Bears fan that the Broncos basically traded Jay Cutler for Sanchez?

In that situation, I would assume that Orton would get a shot to start if anything not to throw Sanchez out there right away. If Orton is good, he finishes the season and goes somewhere else or he gets benched.

I believe the Bears would have done the same and that was what I had hoped for. I would have been upset if Hanie and Basanez were the competition for Orton.

No, why would it? Cutler is very good and has the potential to be great. Orton does not have that potential and will not be starting in Denver for very long, if ever.

That isn't what I meant.

It is that the Broncos, who were the closest to Cutler for the longest time, basically got rid of Cutler(a 26 year old all pro QB) with the plan to get Sanchez(a slightly younger unproven QB).

I'd take Cutler over Sanchez in a second. It seems to me that the Broncos flat out didn't want Cutler for whatever reason. That scares me a little.

They attempted to get an inferior QB in Cassel, traded for an inferior QB in Orton, and now are seeking out another inferior(as of right now) QB in Sanchez.

As an outsider, of those four I'd say Cutler is the best now and in the future. The Broncos don't. I hope they are the dumb ones.

I know what you meant. As a Bears fan, I don't see any reason to be scared beyond the typical unease surrounding the unknown that accompanies any trade. Now if I were a Denver fan, on the other hand, I'd be pretty worried about the future of my team.

As a side note, it's worth mentioning that the guy who initiated the process of moving Cutler has/had no experience coaching him.

I don't know for sure what happened or what the future holds. He could be a booser and totally effing up his health or maybe not. He wasn't diagnosed too long ago so I don't know when those other pictures were taken. As long as he keeps it under control I have no problem with what he does. This drinky problem story could be put out there from the Broncos for all we know. I'm happy to wait until he screws up before pounding him.

Rick I definitely think you have an agenda type thing here. There is nothing wrong with that.

ya know...i wonder if kyle and jay have similar numbers this year. higher for kyle, lower for jay...

btw: seeing those pix. If Cutler isn't banging a new chick every night....i'd be extremely disappointed with him.
the other thing is like, nobody has any idea if he is doing one shot or 10.
and really, who cares? he's 26 years old not 34.
