At least Dahl bought his own scout seat tickets for the Sox.

And I know how it works, Ed, trust me. But if you're gonna take the swag, should you not know something about the game and the players? When Harry jabbers about signing Adam Burish to "big money," does he realize that he accounted for 9 points in 66 regular season games? And one meaningless goal in 6 playoff games?

Or is it the fact that he knows who Harry is, and this chubbies up the Tiny One enough to call him "Bur"?

Honest answer is ..... ????

I honestly think that harry knows quite a bit about hockey...the incident you heard yesterday with 'bur' was more of harry being a kiss ass dbag

Guyt , do you know these guys buy games as well?? Mac buys 15 to 20 games from a buddy for the White Sox and he and were going in on Hawks season tickets together untill Savvy got fired(still perplexed at Mac about that one) Jukro owns 4 seats in the 100 level for the Hawks that go for a $100 seat and Harry owns 4 Cubs seats he pays big bucks for as well.

Not sure where you're argument about Harry is going as we know he's a goof when it comes to budding up with these guys and BTW Burish played a huge role in the series and is a 4th liner and a banger and crasher that the Hawks covet.

There are things about shows we all can pick apart and we can agree to disagree about the topic but I can see why these guys plug the things they do .Northie was the best self promoter and comp/plug guy out there and he amde a ton of cash doing it .I begrudge no one getting ahead and using the tools of the craft to do so.

Ed, I agree with a lot you are saying, but I think the criticism comes from the way it's done. At times many hosts do it in a manner of almost bragging and some people feel they are having it rubbed in their face. A lot of times it really is tacky and they don't do with any style. Mac used to do it in a more humble manner, but he sure went big time with it near the end of his run on the show.

I honestly see all points of view on this one, and Ed, Crosscheck and Score all have made good points. I think they just caught me on a bad day and went a little over the top with their 'lofty positions,' or something. I also realize that H and J spend a bunch of their own money on games; in fact, way more than I do, to be honest.

Fact is, I told my son to read the posts and he said I was being kind of a dick, but he saw my original point and agreed with the premise.

Tanks for the input, guys, and Go Hawks!! We deserve a winner in Winter one of these years!

I could see where it might get under people's skin but I have a ton of free loading buddies so I guess I'm use to it in a sense. STU bitched about my seats yesterday at the Sox game because there are too many screaming foul balls hitting him.

Maybe Mac will take us all fishing on his new boat.. GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!
