Daaaaaaamn. I haven't heard such scathing wit since Parker Elementary

Who's next with "I know you are, but what am I?"

Then again, to be fair I've been guilty of some pretty asinine "debates" around here, so I cede the point before someone else makes it.

4 out of the 7 Sox series have been against first place teams. 5 out of the 7 have been against teams who are at or above .500. The other two series were on the road (one being against the defending AL champions)They themselves are in first place in the rugged American League. I am not thrilled with the results, but I am satisfied.

I guess hating a team is following it to.

Anyways...11-10 for the Sox...are they in trouble?
11-10 and Bartolo is pitching out of his head...I dont know if the White Sox are problem free...I guess your hate for the Cub trumps your love for the hose.

That's most of those fuckers' M.O.

Another bad game from the bullpen. I think Murph may actually be onto something, when he says Lee needs his eye checked. This guy is horrible, he sucks in the field now. He goes 0-4, but Zambrano pinch hits and gets a hit. He is their hottest hitter right now.

Hoffpauir at 1st and Kotie Hill Catching....those changes should be made NOW. Show ALL the players, that nobady's position is assured and production will be rewarded, while the lack of it is not. Also, waive Aaron Miles. The guy sucks. He's a punch and Judy hitter...a lot less punch and a lot more Judy. He makes me wish we still had Cedeno. He was a legit SS and 3rd base backup. Plus, he had some pop now and then.

The problem, Mr. Cub, is that you can't waive Miles because you have no legit backups. Unless Soriano starts playing 2nd base again, and you put Haufpaier in right, Fukudome in center, and Johnson in left.

the only changes that need to be made immediately in my opinion are to lower soriano in the order temporarily until ramirez gets back, and move lee down to 5. fukudome should never be your cleanup hitter. once ramirez is back, he should bat 3rd all the time, followed by bradley and lee.

Yeah...I'm getting pretty tired of hearing Len & Bob talk about how he (Lee) was "right on that pitch"...and watching the ball being being fouled back. This guy needs to start squaring up on the ball and driving it. I've seen him take awesome cuts at pitches that are right in his wheel-house, and while I suppose he is "right on that pitch"....he can't seem to put it in play.

Did I see the backup catcher playing 3B last night? Hendry sure isn't making things easy for Lou.

Actually, I'd keep Soriano put. He's been the only real consistent positive. Yes, he's not a leadoff hitter, but he's been knocking the cover off the ball. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I would leave Soriano in the leadoff spot. Move Theriot to #2 then Fukodome, Ramirez and Bradley.

I would even move Fontenot ahead of Lee. Of course I would be using Hoffpauir a little more right now at first than what Lou is doing.

Once Ramirez gets back, give Lee a few days off. But at minimum, move him down in the batting order at least to #6 if not lower.

It's funny but when I said many of these same things two weeks ago, I was ridiculed as panicking. Funny how two weeks people have come around to my way of thinking.

The problem is still today what it was two weeks ago - a horrible bullpen. Lou has noone he can trust day in day out other than Marmol - that's it. Patton is going to have his ups and downs, Heilman is better served as a starter and Samardzija is also young. It's a problem.

I said two weeks ago that Fontenot is not an every day 2nd basemen - call it a slump if you want, but what I call it is him being exposed for being an average hitter with gaping holes in his swing when he plays every day. I didn't like Miles from the second we signed him.

I have no idea what the hell is wrong with D. Lee other than progressive badness.

Soto and Bradley will come around - eventually. Hopefully it will be before we fall double digits behind the Cards.

Say what you will guys, but I have to be honest here - I don't like the chemistry of this team. Combine that with the fact that I don't think the Cardinals are going to fade like everyone else - I think Duncan and Larussa are geniuses when it comes to pitching reclamation projects and their hitting is legit.

We have problems that aren't going to all go away when the weather reaches 80.

Changes need to be made.

on the topic of fontenot (who i agree has been disappointing), did you see that bomb he hit last night? opposite field, almost on waveland in left center. that guy definitely has some serious power. i dont know where he gets it, but he can really hit the ball a long way for a smaller guy.

i think soriano should bat leadoff regularly, but in this case they need him to drive home runs, the need him in the middle until ram comes back. then i put him right back.

i am not panicking about this team, but i am worried deeply about injuries. they cant win without ramirez, bradley and marmol healthy and performing.
