I'm officially starting the CSFMB Noah bandwagon. When Noah was drafted, the pick was disappointing to me, but I felt that in fairness, there weren't many better options. I then found myself defending Noah, as Bulls fans seemed to pick on him way more than what could be justified by his play.

But then something happened. Noah suddenly "got it."

Let's be honest: this guy is kicking ass. I mean, he's not a star, but he's damn sure been instrumental in the Bulls' success. Seeing him get that steal and run the court and slam it home and pick up the foul, and then hit the free-throw.. I liked it. I sorta root for the underdogs, and it's now becoming real clear that Noah is a considerable asset in the NBA. I just want to make it official: I'm on the bandwagon. Now I even look at his goofiness in a new light: like Nocioni, he pisses off opponents and gets them out of their game. He's a hard-working hustle-dork who seems to be on the path to making the most of his talent. This is the sort of guy our fan-base generally loves.

So, what's it going to be, haters?

He looks like a moron, yes he has stepped his game up over the last two months, he is an absolute afterthought without Rose on this team. Overall, I am still not convinced, but he has swayed my opinion to where I will give him another couple of years.

Im ready to jump on it. Noah used to be the main guy I would rip on this team. He played soft, lazy, and overall uninterested.

Over the past two months he has really stepped up his game. He's getting rebounds, playing quality defense, and playing much better inside (not great but adequate). I think he also knows his limitations, which is also important. He knows his role and is performing it very well. On the other hand there is Tyrus Thomas who thinks he's the next Kevin Garnett.

If he works on his hands and passing game in the offseason I think he can come back next year even more improved.

i hated that the bulls drafted noah
i hated noah in his rookie season
i hated noah at the start of this season

with that said i really like joakim noah now. he is a high energy player that never quits. he rebounds with the best of them. he has figured out that he isnt a shooter EVER and sticks to hanging around the basket for passes and offensive rebounds. he looks to have figured out his role on this team and i enjoy watching him now

My only hope is that he gets smart this offseason and focuses on getting stronger.

I hated the Noah pick too. I wanted Spencer Hawes.

However, he's been great. He UNDERSTANDS his role unlike a few other bulls players. He knows what he can't do and what he can't do.

I'm on the Noah bandwagon until he throws me off with his mouth. I don't think his play on the floor will do it.

From watching him, it really looks like he has been hitting the weights. You can see the change in his arms.

Im in...the minute he stole the ball and dunked I texted a couple friends..."Noah just made up for the last 2 years...He will no longer be referred to as Clownface"

I'm in as long as he keeps up with what he's been doing as of late. He's really been strong for us toward the end of the season and in this series.

I will not join the Noah bandwagon until he learns how to catch with his hands instead of his chest or face.

In the "Waddle & Silvy" soundbite Hall of Fame... Seriously, Joakim has really stepped up his basketball game, and I think it dates all the way back to when the Bulls cut their losses and traded Ben Wallace to Cleveland over a year ago at the NBA Trade Deadline. I wonder if he hangs out with fellow Florida Gator Anthony John Pierzynski...I really enjoy watching Noah's hustle, energy & hard work out there on the court. Thumbs up, Joakim!

I also believe he is intelligent, so that he can analyze and critically assess a situation. He knows he is not bound for stardom, yet he can satisfy his attention whoring desires by excelling in a few areas. He is also sophisticated enough to not be amazed by a bif city and a few admirers.

Tyrus, on the other hand, is country dumb...a yokel left out in the big city with a pile of cash, like the wolf's country cousin in the old Looney Tunes cartoon (Pippen was like this as well, but had Jordan to keep him in line).

but I am still not on the badwagon...let him come into camp in playing shape and bulked up next year and I will rethink my position

This may be a dumb question, but why do the Bulls not give the ball to Derrick Rose at the top of the key, have the other post player set a pick for him, and let Rose attack the basket? You would tell Noah to be ready to rebound or get a quick pass near the basket for a dunk. You would tell Gordon/Salmons/Hinrich to be ready at the 3 point line for a shot or a kick and drive. You would tell the screener to move opposite Noah for the rebound on the other side or a dish and shot.

Why are the Bulls not doing this every play? Noah is perfect for this type of thing. All he can do is dunk and rebound. Rose has shown an amazing ability to fly through the air. Miller setting the screen allows for him to get open for a shot. Gordon and Salmons still would get the ball a ton. Hinrich would get some open 3's.

I honestly don't get why we get Ben Gordon and John Salmons facing the basket, dribbling, and then shooting. It works but I feel the above strategy would still get them the ball a ton with the defense scrambling to recover.

Then again, I'm not the coach so what do I know?

What a difference one steal and a dunk makes. now he is a great draft choice!

In this series, he's averaging 10.7 points and 12.8 rebounds.

That is better than Rodman did for any of the Bulls three championships, but Rodman did it over many more games.

I've been on it since the night he was drafted. Loved him in college, thought I would love him in the NBA. Never have I been too discouraged by his play to the point I didnt think he would be a serviceable starter. I now think he might be able to be more than that. He is goofy as hell to watch play but the bottom line is he gets the job done and he's the most fearless guy on our team, along with Ben Gordon.

With enough steals and blocks add to those numbers. He needs to work on his passing game more, but as has been mentioned many times he's not very polished fundamentally.
